Rohl well beaten on 05:04 - Feb 22 with 750 views | jopreston | I said it before, and I will say it again. This love in with Rohl is madness. Fans only want him because they attribute the years of good football under RH to in fact DR. Incorrect. They were a team and that made it work. One or the other alone is nothing special. Eustace has a better record than Rohl but if we went to sign him, people would be up in arms saying we have gone cheap yet again.

I'm gearing with the Steve Cooper brigade, at least he's done well (ish at times) in the Champ and Prem. But no matter who comes in, or even if Juric stays, we need the players capable of playing at those levels!

To me Rohl would be just another in the long run of SR managerial cock ups But let's face it he won't be backed with the players he needs so SR will throw him under the bus like they have done with Juric [Post edited 22 Feb 9:20]

You're probably right,Matt. I have noticed that Rohl's Wednesday have struggled lately. I hold my hands up, I was in favour of him being offered the job. I am at a loss now of where to go.
Rohl well beaten on 10:08 - Feb 22 with 546 views | dirk_doone | When they sack him, he'll be a free agent. That and the fact he fits the profile SR are looking for - mediocre, mid-table Championship manager - means he's even more likely to be our next manager. #EmbraceFailure [Post edited 22 Feb 10:09]

Who knows Grumps he may do well for us but he's not the inspiring appointment I would want or that SR need to make. When you look at their appointments it would be touch and go whether he's better than Martin. They appointed the bestest manager in Europe who was a disaster and replaced him with Selles who was never ever going to be a success,. Then rather than admit they'd made two massive cock ups in the space of a couple of months and fail to sack Selles but let him relegate us. They appointed Martin who was for all intents and purposes a failure at two clubs previously They appointed him because they wanted to play the style of football he played then bought him a load of players that didn't fit his style and failed to sack him soon enough when as most of us predicted we got dicked every week So what do they do? Replace him with a manager who they passed over when Ralph was sacked because they didn't want his style of football then again buy Juric players that he doesn't need. For me there’s only one viable option left and that is new owners

True - Ralph is doing a brilliant job there. He was thrown under the bus by SR, when they sold Ings, didn't replace him and then bought a load of under 20's from Man City reserves. You can't compete in the PL with players that arn't good enough. The recruitment has been terrible and that's made it impossible for the managers. Steve Cooper has experience of the Championship, promotion from it and he has managed in the PL, so would be the best appointment on paper, but Cooper knows what's needed to get promoted. He will make his demands, will ask for money to spend on the team, and not young players to make a profit, SR won't like it, and will go elsewhere. [Post edited 22 Feb 11:48]

Rohl well beaten on 06:02 - Feb 23 with 255 views | jopreston | I think we have reached the stage now, where most of the so called first team players simply cannot be bothered. This sort of comment is often banded about, but in our case right now it is 100% accurate. You can see they are on a stroll, not giving their all. They are down and they know it and they have had a gutfull of SFC. For the remainder of this season I would be taking big action. I would instantly drop those not interested in trying to get more points on the board and play U21's who are chomping at the bit to have a turn. I know this kind of thinking often gets scoffed at, but again, I think our current situation is very unique. It is crystal clear a lot of the first teamers don't give a damn about winning a single one more game. They don't care about sullying SFC with the unwanted Derby record. So have them out! In terms of the manager, no point at all thinking of a new one now. Either stick with IJ, put AL or Rusk in charge until summer. Then the massive rebuilt starts. At that time what we will need is a huge motivator type. Some one who can being in players who will give 100%, even if limited in ability in some cases. Put the heart back in the club before thinking of suave and talent as they often don't give a shit, and right now we need people who do!
