I know it was an international break but about the only bits of news were Dev Squad match report from Tuesday & Marti preview for Sheff Wed. Meanwhile, Newsnow has 4/5 articles per day from Sheffield.
Is this what we have to get used to?

According to Independent R's the Development squad got knocked out of the London Senior Cup 4-5 on penalties after drawing 1-1 after 90 minutes on a damp Tuesday night. It doesn't seem to have deserved a mention as yet on the Official. The report is dated 14 November 2024, so I take the chance that the game wasn't played on a Tuesday in the last century.
The point about the selective coverage of the development teams is valid, though probably more due to staff resources than any great cover up of the fact our U21s and U18s are every bit as sht as the first team. Places like Indy R's and the kid who runs the development team social accounts are much better for that info.
I've been very critical of the coms strategy under CN obviously but, really, at this point, what do we want them to say? They'd wheel somebody they know we quite like, probably Jimmy Dunne, out to say they all appreciate it hasn't been good enough and they're all hurting as much as we are and it's been a good week in training and they're determined to put it right against *checks notes* Stoke.
I do think they should do player interviews post defeats though, not just post victories. They should own it.
We have a goal blackout every home game in the Loft End, especially from our beloved Rsss, it's like a goal desert down our end, unless you are the away team. Be interesting (maybe not) the number of goals for and against at the Loft End in last 2 seasons, expect it will be grim reading.
I was half expecting a few tenuous links to new managers this week to stir things up then a Nourry statement saying they have full faith in MC. He lights the fire then takes credit and expects thanks for putting it out.

Whilst excusing lack of resources, maybe we should replace 1 or 2 of the performance people by another body to communicate with fans. Not just 1st team, buy DS and U18s. As a note, we signed Keiran Morgan, Jack McDowell and Rogan Vaughan. We know about Morgan but Vaughan seems to have disappeared and we end up using U18s or trialists in the DS

Anybody who watches the NFL regularly knows their policy of the head coach, quarterback and some defensive star/player of the game or poor fcuker who lost the game for the team all face the media .Either in the dressing room or at the podium but every fan knows exactly what went down every game win or lose. Its the same across all American sports the press crowd around the players while they are dressing and you get some amazing insight. I cannot figure out why the players are not allowed to be interviewed after each game in England it would really open up a whole different side for the fans and be great for the sport IMO.

This obsession with over saturated 24-7 news (in all walks of life, not just football) is like a drug and can be exhausting. I don't have twitter and I don't have tons of Facebook groups and I just keep an eye manually on a couple of news outlets.

Isn't this what they've done with Managers in the premier league?

It's so much better.
I actually get my news here. I figure if something worth caring about is happening, you lot will be talking about it already. Advantage being I also get a wide range of viewpoints on the topic at hand at the same time

I think the league are scared of the Charlie Austin unfiltered "Parklife" type reactions, as they can't work out how to fine the players after a rant
