| Forum Thread | Jordan Rhodes - Blackpool at 16:01 16 Nov 2024
Just watching Blackpool v Northampton on Sky + and seeing even at 34, Jordan Rhodes still got pace, lays ball on well and proper centre forward. Blackpool signed him on a free from Huddersfield after being on loan, scored 15 for Blackpool last season, why can't we really be looking at experienced pros like this, also Northampton have Martin Waghorn on the bench again a decent striker at Championship level only signed for them a couple of weeks back after being released by Derby end of last season. |
| Forum Thread | It's All Been Downhill Since Warburton Left at 10:57 9 Nov 2024
I know I will get pelters, but for me I really enjoyed the 3 years Mark Warburton was in charge with John Eustace. We actually looked like a decent competitive Championship side. I know it's all history and plan b stuff but it has gone downhill big time since 2021/22 season and this season could well be the final nail in our Championship coffin. [Post edited 9 Nov 10:57]

There is no redemption from the performance last night, a team without fight and basically outplayed has very little chance of surviving in this league. This season probably time has run out and League 1 beckons. |
| Forum Thread | Solid Midfield at 06:47 3 Nov 2024
First time at home yesterday I felt we had a solid midfield formation, by that I mean the opposition were not streaming through the centre of the pitch, which usually has been the case this season. Thought that Varane, Morgan and Madsen filled the usual void we have very well. Preferred Field at centre back as well think that might be a better role for him in this team. Morgan also looks like a bit of a gem that has been discovered as well. Proof in the pudding is can they push on and keep improving and get that elusive first home win on Tuesday. |

Is he just a dud or not interested, Lloyd looked much more up for it when he came on. |
| Forum Thread | It's all a bit meh isn't it? at 09:06 20 Oct 2024
This is the way I've felt since the first game against West Brom and other than the 2nd half at Luton, the feeling has not changed. When I was at Derby two weeks ago felt this lot look a right mess and yesterday's performance did nothing to convince me otherwise. |
| Forum Thread | Johan Neeskens RIP at 15:54 7 Oct 2024
Johan Neeskens the brilliant Dutch footballer has passed away at the age of 73. Alongside Johan Cruyff part of the Dutch masterclass of footballers in the 1970s. |
| Forum Thread | Alfie Lloyd - Not Used Again Why? at 07:50 6 Oct 2024
Think Lloyd has been a bit of a find this season yet for last 2 games been left on the bench. He is big, strong with pace the sort of player suited to Championship football yet Marti keeps leaving him out, not even been off the bench last 2 games. I would have him up front playing off Frey as Celar is far too lightweight and non existent at this level so far. |
| Forum Thread | Deafened by Speakers in Upper Loft at 18:52 24 Sep 2024
Sent an email to Support Services saying that the speakers in JU of the Upper Loft are unbearably loud, especially on Saturday against Millwall. They have responded to say it will be looked into. |

Gary Shaw passing away at 63 (far too young), talented player for the Villa in the early 80s. |
| Forum Thread | QPR v Crystal Palace - Major Cup H2H at 14:18 16 Sep 2024
QPR and Crystal Palace have played each other 7 times in the FA Cup (including replays) and once in the League Cup and Palace have never beaten the Rangers. Palace's only cup win was in 1991 in the Zenith Data Cup thingy. I remember being at the game the last time we played them in the 1982 FA Cup in the 1- 0 quarter final win at Loftus Road - COYRssss |
| Forum Thread | Contain Luton's Alfie Doughty at 16:32 28 Aug 2024
On Friday Rangers have got to try and stop Alfie Doughty from getting on the ball and crossing as much as possible, thought he was Luton's most dangerous player and a lot goes through him, given far too much time to dictate play, especially down the wings. |
| Forum Thread | Will The Away Toilets At Luton Have Been Improved at 20:48 25 Aug 2024
Have a bit of a laugh for a while with a Luton boy I know about the away toilets at Kenilworth Road after last visit couple of season ago, not expecting any improvement. Although I do fancy us for a Friday night win - COYRss. |
| Forum Thread | We Go All Passive at 11:16 14 Aug 2024
Andersen said it on Saturday after WBA defeat we fall away and go all passive, seems to happen after we score. Last night was noticeable went ahead and sort of lost momentum and Cambridge sensed it and upped their game. Marti needs to sort this out and get them focused, otherwise we will be in for a few shockers. Thought too many strolling around again last night other than Smyth, Frey and Andersen. Dixon-Bonnar missed a couple of sitters and his frustration was visible, rather than getting stuck in. The modern footballer is a strange beast far too sensitive in my opinion, hence going passive. |
| Forum Thread | Our Pitch Yesterday at 14:43 21 Jul 2024
I must say our pitch yesterday was in glorious condition, don't think I have ever seen it so good, from where I was in the Upper Loft it looked a super surface to play on. |
| Forum Thread | Football Rituals (Could It Be Coming Home) at 07:43 12 Jul 2024
Us football fans can have some funny rituals and superstitions to follow our beloved game and team. With England getting to the Euro 2024 final my two major changes/rituals are back in February booked a short break to Snowdonia for Sunday 14 July forgot it was Euros and then ping checked that final was on 14 July and said to Mrs, can't watch final in a pub in Wales especially if England get into final so got the hotel booking moved on 2 weeks. The other ritual is during tournaments I put an England flag flying from the front of the house, this time we decided to fly it from the back of the house, dare not change this as do not want to jinx our chance to win the final. |

ELO keyboardist Richard Tandy has passed away. Great band ELO , first saw them at Wembley Arena in 1978 and last time as Jeff Lynne's ELO at the O2 in 2018. |
| Forum Thread | Willock - Will He Stay? at 08:51 27 Apr 2024
Willock has got his mojo back, links up really with Andersen. Interesting to see if he signs up to a new deal or will he move on as we suspect? |
| Forum Thread | Andersen at 07:11 21 Apr 2024
I see there is some posts on here saying Andersen was a bit poor yesterday, didn't see that myself, he is one of the reasons that we are out of the mess we got ourselves in. Really rate him and his assists and delivery from set pieces a major factor in our improvement. Looks and is a very good signing. |
| Forum Thread | Home v Away Pitches at 13:08 7 Apr 2024
I know it is a long shot so to speak i.e. lack of strikers ability etc. I feel that if you look at how we play away from home invariably on larger pitches, it suits our game with more time, space etc, whereas at Loftus Road on a smaller, tighter pitch we struggle to get our passing game going and create the chances to pressure defences and once the opposition is back in their half in numbers the lack of width means hard to break down. I can see why Cifuentes went with Armstrong yesterday to try and get ball up to him quickly, but our game struggles with this as we are too slow in the build up as our players like to pass through the midfield, which works in my opinion away from home a lot better on wider pitches, where more space is available for a slower passing game. |
