Sorry for new thread,
But how bad do you lot reckon it’s going to get here in the UK?
I just been watching the news. Looking nasty in Italy.

My methods are not favoured by some but by god i speak the truth.

Around 17,000 die in England alone. Year, world wide around 500,000 - 600,000.

I’m asking you the question because you and a few others on here are playing down the severity of what is happening around us.
Why state how many people die of flu in this country? What has that got to do with this virus?

China has not beaten this thing. It may have reduced infections through strict isolation but the virus is still a major threat to the Chinese people. There are only 2 ways a population will defeat the virus; either through immunity from infection or through vaccination.

You are almost certainly a troll but I hope this is a simple enough concept for you to grasp.

Possibly also through the virus itself eventually mutating into a less lethal form that does not kill the host that promotes its success, as it transitions it’s establishment in human form? Of course that may be dependent on how our behaviour rewards the virus with transmission.

What ended the 1918 flu pandemic (that is said to have infected around a third of the worlds population and estimated to have killed between 40 to 100 million)?

Of course the war and different social, economic and scientific conditions existed in 1918, but in the longer term it was unrepresentatively the stronger younger healthy adults that succumbed, Their bodies overloaded by the strength of the reaction of their robust immune systems.

Note how many versions of Flu there are and they start by recording "flu like symptoms", the actual test results data is lower down.

Beds already 98% full (with lots that need care homes not hospital beds), little resources, things are looking grim for us here in the UK.
Not paying enough taxes, voting for right wing low tax, low service state Government's is unfortunately going to comeback to haunt us.

A possible consequence is a possible consequence it does not mean that people want people to die or become ill.

You've previously said, possibly in this thread, that you are not going to do anything differently, and if people die because of it, then people die.

Whilst it may not be wanting people to die, it's not very nice is it?

The likes of Trampie and Kilkenny would like to see lots of people die so they can blame the government.

Their hatred of the government and the U.K. means the ends justify the means.

You really are an offensive priick for posting that.
Mods should ban you.

When the uk government takes a different approach to every other country in the world, then people will ask questions. Thats the point.

Whatever you say about me, i hope you and your family and friends all stay safe during this crisis.

Here is one for you, why has Germany got 5 x the ICU beds that NHS has. Thats political choice and austerity for you. This should have been addressed in Jan not now. Its poor.

The obligatory youtube video.......

People who refuse to change their opinion will always refuse and those thicker than mince won't get it, but this illustrates the thought process quite nicely. No one is stating it is right, but it is an approach that you should try to understand at least.

The rest of the world is suggesting the UK govt have got this wrong.
Why is it wrong to point that out on a discussion thread...?

Looks the the UK govt is changing its position and that will bring us closer to the rest of the world.

Google South Korea, their approach is based on testing. 20,000 a day.
Then tracking and stopping the spread at source.
The uk govt has chosen not to do that.

Bury your head in the sand if you want to.

I don't need to do anything different as things stand as I wash my hands constantly anyway, far more than most other people so there is no need for me to do anything different.

Nobody knows what is right or wrong at the moment, there is not a f*cking manual for it.

It is not a political thing.

You have zero idea on how to tackle it, other than things you have read that you think sounds good. That is no reason to think you or the others are correct.

It could be said that containment is burying your head in the sand. What happens if exposure is limited? Surely that leads to a second maybe third or fourth wave of the virus? I don't know, you don't know, but jumping up and down about the government doing it wrong because they're doing it slightly different is nonsense.

Not sure why people are even saying we should directly fall in to line with other countries when their policies haven't been proven particularly successful in any case?

You need to accept that you may well get it, hope that it's not too bad and respect other people's space and vulnerability whilst you go about your business.
