Warnock article on 13:23 - Apr 2 by bluey_the_blue | Warnock mentions u23s to take the p1ss. You take that comment seriously. Clue; there's 10 days from Man City game to the Burnley game. We may rotate a few players, maybe rest a few but there won't be major changes. Clue2: Warnock doesn't pick u23 players... I'd have liked to see Coxe, Spence maybe Davies/Griffiths on subs bench. |
Then good, I'm glad he'll play full strength v Citeh. With nothing to lose( as was the case when we played em) let's see if he goes for it( as we did). Don t bother replying, we both know the answer.

Warnock article on 14:47 - Apr 1 by bluey_the_blue | Samuels has had an issue with Warnock for years - stems from Warnock rightly being furious over the Tevez affair, Samuels being a West Ham fan. The player accusations? Oh, you mean Puncheons comments which he retracted and indeed was punished by the FA over. The same comments MP Damien Collins made in HoC but curiously has refused to repeat outside when challenged... |
Bluey is right in his first paragraph, Samuels is well known for holding grudges and writing ridiculous columns to support his agenda. See his attitude towards Southampton since they won a libel case against him for £250k.

Was impressed with Coxe when I first saw him play for Wales u21s. But it's been a couple of years now and he's seemingly gone nowhere. Real shame.

Warnock article on 12:37 - Apr 2 by Bluebird | What team did man city start with against you.? |
This is looking like an even worse comment in light of last night. No Aguero, Sterling or Bernardo Silva (three of City's best players this season), 7 changes in total, yet you didn't put up even a pale imitation of our performance. Ouch. I don't expect Bluebird is checking this thread much today...

Yeah, think Warnock doesn't always trust younger players. In fairness a lot of that has been down to circumstances- had to stabilise us after the Trollope debacle. Promotion season, we were up there so fell back on tried and trusted Manga, Peltier. Down in relegation zone, risky to throw youth in. Coxe avoided the u23 purge that went on 18 months to 2 years ago so... just think he needs a good loan spell - he needs to be playing competitive football at age 20. For some reason, the loan offers haven't been coming in I hope Sion Spence avoids the same stagnation. [Post edited 4 Apr 2019 11:04]

Great effort by your boys last night, did everything to try and get at least a point. Colin proud and delighted with the performance. Jesus wept, fckn embarrassment of a club.

We've had similar problems finding clubs to take our players on loan. Local lads limited to Newport or Darren Way's Yeovil pretty much. Improving a little now as our academy's reputation increases, but the big famous academies will always have an easier time getting lower league clubs to trust their players. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Well, yeah. Not to mention those getting poached like Matondo and the attempts with Spence due to not being Category One. Our setup is in a funny stage at the moment. There were plenty who stagnated in u23 - had those contracts, no incentive to push on. Cleared players out, got some in to fill the ranks as the younger ones not ready for that stage. We've probably had more success loaning players out this season - Bodenham to TNS, Paul Mackay to Morecombe, Brown to Livingstone, Harris to Port Vale, Waite to Hereford and Jack Mackay to Chesterfield but they all need to be getting experience at higher levels than that if they are going to push on. I agree with Warnock in his views on the u23 setup. The old reserve system was far better for giving experience.

Warnock article on 10:14 - Apr 1 by valleyboy | Well he showed much more fight than what Potter did when Swansea lost to Man City for two goals that should never have been allowed How right he said that Cardiff was playing in the best league in the World, but with the worst officials Wait for it The FA kangaroo court will now fine him for saying the truth |
Never saw Colin moaning when Cardiff got a last minute offside goal to beat brighton

There's a massive difference between a non-decision that wasn't blatently obvious and one that was.
