If either of them are leaving, I hope that they receive a special goodbye.
I'd be gutted if we lose Ale. At his best for us he was a genuinely world class player. If it wasn't for his injuries he'd be up there with the midfield greats like Pirlo etc. If he wasn't injured he would've definitely graced a World Cup or 2 Not playing for us obviously. Hoping we keep him on for some sort of coaching. Greatness oozes from his pours .
Would be strange if Hill left for more football. He must surely realise that at any other club he would've been put out to stud 2/3 years ago.
Unless of course he has an offer of a player/coach role on the table elsewhere with a view to transitioning into management ala Derry, in which case it would be a real shame to not have him do his badges here, but fair enough.

"Greatness oozes from his pours" Please tell me I am not the only to get aroused by this (in reference about Alejandro FaurlÃn)
By the way you are spot on about Ali. An excellent achievement to come through 3 ACL and get through a season like the one in the Championship. He is a guy who would grace the fields of top club but if you stuck him in away to Scunny on a Tuesday night in the fcuking rain it wouldn't faze him the slightest. An honest pro.
At the end today when the players did a lap of honour I thought Clint looked tearful like he was saying goodbye....hope not ....nice touch club giving outstanding contribution award before the kick off....I just like watching Clint Hill

I thought the same. He did look very emotional when he went past us and everyone around me suddenly thought the same thing - I really hope not
I'm not one to drop the word legend into many QPR players but clint is He was finished apparently when he came to us from Palace but has lasted 6 seasons Through all the charlatans who have worn this shirt the last 5 years clint stands head & shoulders above all of them An old fashioned defender from days gone by , it's no coincidence our defence was a lot tighter whenever he has played Stand out moments from me were The clearance off the line against Doncaster ( promotion season) The comeback appreance when we beat Chelsea 1-0 ( he was a giant that game) And lifting the play off trophy at Wembley
God bless you sir clint thanks for the 100% commitment and I will raise a glass for you tonight
Edit I am pissed after 8 strong bows but Fcuk it
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles
Brian Moore
Sh*t......gutted too. Was he offered a new deal do you know egham?
No basically. Wanted a year and les and JFh didn't give him it. True legend but have to move on at some point I suppose.
I worry for our centre backs next year now. When Clint didn't play we leaked goals and weren't organised. Next year we will have scrotey Caulker back.....doesn't fill me with confidence.!!

So sorry to read this egham.
Clint & Ale are two players that we will remember with love & would receive a heros' reception if they ever returned.
Away from the thread title, do you know what the situation with Ale is?
Really hope that it isn't as clear cut as you say Egham. The West London Sport implied that JFH is looking to speak with him and others when the season was complete. Love it Hill, Faurlin were to stay. The latter has surely done enough this season, Hill has come in and led that defence and made himself first choice when available. That will be such a difficult hole to fill for us, not just on the pitch either.
Hate to say it, but Karl Henry is another who may be worth extending if we don't have a younger option to take over. He has played well this season and done a good job playing with Faurlin for the most part.

" have to move on at some point I suppose. " Yeah I spose, he won't go on too much longer, but a little annoyed he wasn't offered something
I just hope the brains trust ( Evil, & Dumbo) at the top have an adequate replacement lined up
