Micky Adams has been named as the League 2 Manager of the month for September after taking Vale to the top of the division with some majestic performances.

We were invincible through August and September, and the award is no more than Micky deserves. The transformation he has brought to the Club since taking over last summer is miraclous. We were hopeless when he took over the reigns, the two previous seasons under Lee Sinnott and Dean Glover had been utterly pitiful.

And now look at us. Looking down on the rest of the table, and deservedly so. Ok, October hasn't thus far been great for us, but all great sides experience a 'blip' now and again, and we are going through ours.

Don't despair, the Vale of August and September will return...
