Whatever anyone thinks about the appointment of Juric we’ve collectively got to get behind the team to the end of the season however results go
Juric has got an almost impossible job to keep us up. God knows what SR will do in the transfer window but the fact that Kevin Danso’s name has already been mentioned means they are unlikely to be giving Juric much of a helping hand
We can’t afford to have the bed wetters turning on the team if we lose three on a row and we have to support the team regardless if we’re to stand any chance
Personally I’d set the first target as beating Derby’s 2008 low points tally of 11 points and work up from that
COYS we march on

I know nothing of Juric but whatever goes, he and the team will get my full backing. Let’s be honest, this season is done and barring an absolute miracle, we’ll be playing our trade in the Championship. The main aim for me is to hit anything beyond Derby’s record low points and see is actually taking our game to the opposition.

Wish Russell Martin all the best but to be honest, I am just glad he and his boring, turgid brand of football is gone.

Ready and waiting to mop up those European places......
Poll: Where do we think Dibling will be plying his trade next (2025 / 2026) season??

I've actually woken up this morning feeling almost positive about the appointment. It seems he won't take any sh1t and may actually provide some solidity with the fans and a proper structure that will become hard to beat
COYR's and Keep the Faith

Ps: I take no responsibility for any positive vibes if it all may goes t1ts up

Yes. Not another clone, somebody with spirit and drive. I feel much more optimism than despair.

Absolutely, Matt.
Juric has a lot to turn round and that wont happen right away,so we need to be patient.
I don't think the players will mess around with Ivan ,don't know why I say that, just a feeling.

The more I read about him, the more he is growing on me. He is a tough guy, he has managed some of the world's best players at Roma, he has managed in Italy's top league, despite a few sackings, he has been successful at many of his clubs, he has a reputation for having a resolute defence, his teams are aggressive, he's a character and doesn't take any sh!t.

We have nothing to lose, we are effectively down. Much rather him than a championship dreamer with no experience of managing top players. Last thing we need is a nervous wreck, thrown in at the deep end (Nathan Jones type). By all accounts Juric is a tough, no sh!t kind of guy, could be just what we need, right? He might be a good appointment and whip them into shape. Let's see how he does.

Hey Grumps, yes I get the feeling he won’t take no sh*t from players but more importantly I don’t think he’ll take any shi* from Sports Republic
I’m guessing looking at the predicament we’re in they must have promised some January signings to get anyone interested at all

I am very glad to see that SR appear to have learned a lesson and bought in somebody who plays a different kind of football. For each of our squad who cannot adapt, there will be somebody who will. I predict us being a resurgent side in a months'time. The players are going to love this.

I doubt that SR have learned any lessons. RM had the most extreme playing style of anyone out there, so anyone else would represent a change of style. I suspect that Juric is being targeted because he's about the highest quality of the few that didn't say no and he's not going to cost a lot.

But I think he has a decent record for the level that we can expect. So long as he doesn't blow up and go mental, like Nathan Jones, it's a step forward and just possibly, a big step forward. I look at his appointment positively even if we're still very likely to be relegated.

I feel positive about the club for the first time in 2 years.

He certainly talks a good game and sounds like. He wants high intensity pressing football with players working hard for each other
Let’s give the guy a chance
One things for sure it’s got to be an improvement on what we have had to put up with!!

Completely agree Matt.

Whatever his record is, it is history and we have to give him chance and I hate to say but keep our expectations as low as they have been. Relegation is still the only realistic prospect and really it is a matter of whether we go down fighting and prepare for a good season next season. I suppose if we see no improvement over time then the judgement of SR will arise again but we need to get behind the team and hope the team get behind the manager and have the right attitude to show some fighting spirit.

So you're not standing by your earlier knee-jerk comment then?

"You know exactly how this goes
Continued abject failure, nailed on relegation, his 6 months is up and bring in another coach for the championship
We really do never fkn learn that doing it in the cheap means only one thing"
