I’m afraid of this is true
Many senior officers should be sacked immediately

The 80 or so convictions, most two years afterwards is shocking that these kids were not looked after properly, by all agencies.
However, the parents again are getting away with it, 11 + year old kids out at all hours and then blaming everybody in sight for their parental incompetence.
The social system in the uk isn’t a child minding service for people who can’t live properly but are still allowed to procreate. |  |

Don't assume I'm advocating breaking up families, social workers should be able to recommend something like a special guardianship order at the child in need stage so another willing and responsible member of a family like a grandparent can have rights in protecting the child for example. | |
