I started following the Monkey Hangers on Twitter (and turned on notifications) yesterday because of my concerns over a pitch inspection etc.
The quality and quantity of output from their Twitter account, in the lead up to a game, knocks ours into a cocked hat.
I reckon they've probably had the same interview with Curle and a player that we have. From that they've got separate tweets about...
January Transfer window Comments on new arrivals (difficult for Dale on this one!) Injury update on Cooke Injury update on Sterry Injury update on Cook Curle quotes on what to expect from Dale Curle confirming Missilou has left Injury update on Crawford Advertisement for iFollow with a Curle quote about all games being a must win Interview with a player
Compare to Dale...
January Transfer window (as part of a link to the full pre-match interview) Matchday incoming (with four pictures)
Hartlepool may be the gold standard for Twitter L2 clubs, I don't know, but it makes you wonder if some employees at the club are coasting just like the players.

I also really like this in their away fan guide... such a simple idea but drives footfall into their club shop that otherwise would have no reason to be there.
Is Eastwood on our squad page yet?

I would take a point now, because I am not confident about Hartlepool and on the coupon, I feel it is a banker home. I hope and pray that I am proven wrong, but at least they have recruited players in the transfer window.

A banker? I know they beat us on Boxing Day, but they're still below us in the bloody table!

Think we’ve been ok so far apart from a couple of hairy moments like that header that looped over. Their lad should have walked for a second booking though. Poor from the ref.

A very positive first half showing. Kelly and Lloyd causing all kinds of problems. Only negative is we haven’t taken one of several good chances. Enjoyed that half more than I have for a long while.

I thought his second tackle was a good one, would've been harsh.

Hopefully we will try to push for a win, but I think both teams will be worried about losing and may hold back. Could be one of those games where it is 1 piece of brilliance or a mistake that settles it

Couldn’t agree more. Second was a clear foul he was nowhere near the ball, contrary to what the Hartlepool commentators thought.

That was a harsh red card. He certainly didn’t catch him in the fact as his rolling on the pitch suggested. Not sure why EEL didn’t just go to head the ball but I certainly don’t think it was a red card. Very frustrating when these should already be down to 10.
