I'm not proud of this, but....

Charlie Austin.
Fine, fine player.
Did a great job for us.
Never smiled.

Just couldn't warm to him.

Ya, that picture's not good.

Adel - ya, hard to love the man. Feel sorry for him, though.

Not too keen on Rodney Marsh.

Think it was 1970 and Rangers used to have a popular open day at their training ground back then.

Marsh swept in for the briefest of time then buggered off in what I think was a Lotus, didn’t seem to impress too many adults as he drove off it seemed.

On the other hand, Mick Leach, Frank Saul, Dave Clement and in particular Phil Parkes had time for everyone.

Holloway.
Cant knock his passion, but I cant listen to the bloke talk.
I like what he did for the club but the guff he used to talk twisted my melon. I guess more of a manager comment than a player.
Austin was a great goalscorer but I got no sense of personality there so never warmed to him.
Adel was an arse.

OK, I’ll admit that John Spencer thought he was too good for us. He was right.

Andy Thomson never celebrated anyone else’s goals. Stealing the bread from his mouth. To be honest, I never held it against him, we were that desperate.

I don't think he was right, we pulled him out of Chelsea's reserves and he hardly achieved much after he left us. Was brilliant for half a season, that was about it.

Joey Barton is an obvious one, although I accept many would question whether he was actually any good for us. Work rate was never an issue unlike some others, but a deluded and arrogant character.

I'm not a big Gallen fan either, whenever I've heard him recently he seems a bit me,me, me. Also don't like him making swipes about his brothers being let go by the club.

Not sure he can count as a good Rangers player.

An astonishing career really for a guy who seemed to mostly float around midfield five yards from the ball. 21 England caps!

Does come across as a nice bloke on tv though.

I'm probably in a minority of one... Les Ferdinand. Always seemed to want to be elsewhere and that grated on me.

Think that most of the ex players on here are going to be players that were here as it was just a job, no loyalty, I think we have all worked at places like that.
Didn’t help over the years that the management were splashing the cash whether you turned up for your hours training and free lunch or not... playing for little old Qpr.
Swp, Joel Lynch, etc.
Charlie for me was a proper goal scorer and crowd pleaser but he had the body of Captain Tom !!

I concur with Austin.

Was a brilliant player but came across as a bit arrogant which was a surprise considering where he came from in terms of his football career.

After the play off final there was a party at the club and he was the only player who was grumpy. He could have been knackered but just didn't want to engage with a few people and then I started to presume it was because Bobby got the glory and not him. He did have a half chance and fluffed it and dropped into left midfield after O'Neil was sent off so did help us win but wasn't the main man.

Also second hand story is that when he was asked by a young player if he was concerend about not playing at Southamption his response was not bothered because he was on 100k a week!
