Pompey handed plenty of extra selection options for Oxford clashes Wednesday, 24th Jun 2020 21:56 by pompey-fans.com staff Pompey may be short of play-off form from past appearances in the end-of-season promotion knockouts - but they won't be short of squad options when this season's come around. They will head into their two-legged semi-final against Oxford boosted by no fewer than eight players having extended their contracts to take part in the tie - and to play at Wembley if the Blues should, for the first time, reach the final. Crucially the central defensive pairing of Christian Burgess and Sean Raggett are among those now eligible to play. Pompey said they had extended the contracts of Lee Brown, Burgess, Matt Casey, Oli Hawkins, Brandon Haunstrup, Adam May, Brett Pitman and Raggett - all of which were due to expire at the end of the month. A statement said: 'The club would like to thank Norwich for allowing Raggett to complete the campaign at Fratton Park.' Meanwhile keeper Luke McGee has opted not to sign an extension and will leave the club after making 55 appearances since 2017. Teenage striker Bradley Lethbridge is also set to depart. Pompey added: 'Portsmouth Football Club thank both Luke and Bradley for their service to the club and wish them well for the future.'
