Blow For Saints As Clasie Signs New Deal At Feyenoord Friday, 29th Aug 2014 18:48 Saints have been dealt a blow as Feyenoord midfielder Jordie Clasie has signed a new deal at Feyenoord.
Clasie had been rumoured to be a last minute target for Ronald Koeman as he sought to bring in a player or two before the transfer deadline ends, however that now looks to be dead in the water with Clasie signing a new deal that will tie him into the Rotterdam club till 2014.
Of course its not unheard of for a player to move straight after signing a new deal, but two days after would be a new record i think.
In many respects however this int a major problem for Saints who have plenty of midfield options, the priority should surely be to bring in another central defender as well as a wide option

Classie is a quality player who Will be worth 20 million next season. We could have got him last week for 9. Hè linked up brilliantly with Pelle last season and would walk onto our team. This is a real shame and a foolish ( non ) move by our board. Waken up board !

beginning to think we arent going to get anyone in at all, Clasie ,Alderweild, Townsend were all strongly linked with us and it seems to me that Reed just hasnt tried hard enough probably due to lack of available finances. No one can say Saints have been spending proceeds from sales because they havent the summers deal have come from current income, tv money. Its going to be a long season.

Oh, and Classie was keen to link up with his old manager RoKo, is only 23, the captain of Fyenoord, and was keen to try the premier League. We had the money. How die we mess This up ? I am not pleased. Daley Blind. Now ! 20 Mill .

Did we really need him? Especially as Ronald Koeman has indicated on many occasions now that Morgan Schneiderlin is staying, plus we already have enough talent in midfield. Central defender and pacy wingers now.

Yeah Zam, but in the Spiderman mould, only 9 Mill quality, and do you expect Spider next season? What a midfield we could of had. Bummer. Virgil Should come from Celtic, though.

Blogs 31 bloggersKnees-up Mother Brown #19 by wessex_exile February, and the U’s enter the most pivotal month of the season. Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process. What’s the excuse going to be today Steve – shocking pitch, faking head injuries, Mexican banditry or some other bit of sour-grapery bullsh*t? Portsmouth Polls |
