Decent half?
We had a good spell, maybe 10/15 minutes and really shut the crowd up but on the whole that was a pretty dire first half. So many loose passes gifting possession back for them to launch their high balls into the box and who's that guy that scored against us..... Never seen him do that before FFS and as good a header as that was he's their main threat so why the fack was he allowed a free run to get the ariel advantage he needed?
Come on Ash FFS how many times have you played against him and failed to keep him out. You're the captain and centre half and should have come up with something by now to at least get one game where he doesn't score.... |  |

We're bringing pressure on ourselves, passing it back all the time is playing into W Hams hands, they just pile on the pressure again and again, Im all for passing back and starting again, but not when it invites pressure, Ref is giving them the benefit of doubt far more than us, Ki didn't foul their player on the edge of their area either.

I'm in agreement at this sky sports westham love in. Even after our first goal they elected to replay a missed corner... WTF? This is some quality reporting on the match, this.
Though West Ham have really had a great first half. at least the upper bit. they slagged off a bit after the first goal. but they have come for a match. And this ref! I like the cut of his jib to be fair. He seems more keen to let play go on, as opposed to calling everytime someone breaks a nail. |  |

We are playing sht with almost non existant control of the football, 60% of the ball to west ham who are just lumping it.
Why the fook cant we just put bartley on carroll ? That's pretty much all we need to do here .
Our rootball principles were being eroded said jenkins last season, so surely then monk needs to try and get the players to be a bit brave on the ball?

No more than i expected to be fair, away to 5th place, they are stopping us playing as we like. I was speaking to an Evertonian last night who said they were lucky to beat West Ham at their place, very physical and always try to play football in your half and actually are a decent footballing side even though they have Andy Carroll. Sounds exactly right so far.
Two excellent goals but we are getting dominated and are second best in gameplay - but again, we are the away side, we cant dominate every game home and away. This season is full of surprises, if Chelsea can go to Newcastle and lose and Arsenal can go to Stoke and lose on the same weekend then we certainly have no given right to turn up and outplay the hammers on their own patch.
We just have to hang in there and hope we catch them on the break again. Needs must. [Post edited 7 Dec 2014 14:31]
