Again, there’s a massive difference between doing everything right and blowing countless millions on the players we did last season. Making a profit on one or two of them, or them justifying the outlay on the fee would hardly be ‘perfect world’ unless you had very limited ambition.
‘Never bought a Premier League player in your life’. Is that the 2018 version of ‘what level did you used to play at?’. Are we now saying we need first hand experience of buying players to be able to judge whether they worked, particularly when we have sold two of them for big losses, and loaned out a £20m buy for £2m?

Plenty of Chairmen get a lambasting and for the most part they are the owners too and the fans want them out, there's the Assam's at Hull and recenrly Ellis Short sold the Villa and he was getting pelters every week.
