Just popped over to Wikipedia to answer question from my son as to which club Charlie Adam played for prior to Blackpool. Got the answer and also this useful insight:

I agree with your analysis on Savage.
Whilst he worked hard (and got a few lucky breaks) in marketing Adel, I noticed that as the game progressed he needed more and more support from his fellow midfielders to mark Adel.
If he was in anyones 'pocket' that would be the pack that followed him - not just Savage.
If it had been left with Savage vs. Adel 1v1 for the whole game Savage would have been humiliated.
I do think Savage is quite funny though - and would love to see him get a spot on MOTD to shake it up - it's getting really boring, like listening to three old blokes droning on about golf in the bar. |

I agree with your comment about Shaun Derry, I thought he had a cracking game - he was my MOTM.
Regarding the gates: well, let's not forget that the season has started very early and many people are on holiday.
My guess is that we will be well into the 14k mark for the next few home games. |
