| Forum Thread | Last week, I thought there were 6 or 7 reasons that we wouldn't go down at 20:57 1 Feb 2014
Namely, West Ham, Fulham, Cr@pdiff, Palace, Sunderland and so on. Today, one of those reasons has disappeared, namely West Ham. When we beat Fulham last week, I swear I was stuck behind "Monmouth" (out of his armchair at last?) because this mug said "That is a good win, but we've done the scum a favour, and that isn't good". For people who think that way, I will remind them... P35 W8 D9 L18 Pts 33 That is our record since we won the League Cup at Wemberley. If you average less than a point a game, you are going to struggle. Our saving grace is that the Premier League is half filled with crap teams. However, our slump concerns me. We have two massive games against teams fighting for survival, but can we compete in a scrap? I mean, in a really ugly match against Stoke or Cardiff where they will do anything for a win, whilst World Class Laudrup sits and looks up at the rain clouds. Make no mistake, we will be in the bottom three going after the Merseyside double if we fail to beat at least one of Cardiff and Stoke. Things are not right in the dressing room. I mean, Chico does the strangest things, and can be a liability. Laudrup is no longer 100% in charge of team affairs - as the signing of Emnes tells us. Yes, things will look very healthy with 4-6 points in the next two games. But, anything less, and we will be in a dogfight - and I just don't think we have the mental ability to match some of those teams at the bottom who have been there all season. Some of them know how to survive, Allardyce, Pulis, Bruce. Some of them are eager to impress, Solskjaer and Poyet. We have Laudrup - so we had better hope our class starts to tell. Sorry if this seems negative, I have just had a crap trip back from London - awful weather for driving, and was nearly involved in an accident with White Van Man driving right up my arse. I don't think we will go down but we need to get out of that maelstrom of teams at the bottom sooner rather than later. |
| Forum Thread | Alternative PL Table (Since Carling Cup) at 22:57 3 Nov 2013
Since the Carling Cup final, the league tables look like this Arsenal P21 51 Chelsea P22 46 Man C P22 44 Spurs P22 44 Liverpool P21 42 Everton P21 40 Man U P21 38 Southampton P22 33 Villa P21 28 Newcastle P22 28 West Ham P22 26 WBA P21 22 Fulham P21 21 Norwich P21 20 Swansea P21 20 Stoke P21 18 Sunderland P21 14 Sunderland and Stoke have lost their managers. Fulham and Norwich are looking to replace theirs (if newspaper stories are to be believed). Laudrup is still dining out on beating Bradford 5-0. |

Better that we enjoy these trips to Europe this season. Disappointing. Birmingham made 5 changes to their team, we made 10. We had enough to beat them. Amat Taylor Britton Shelvey De Guzman Pozuelo |

I popped into the BMW showroom close to their ground on Thursday morning - the salesman said he'd knock 300 Euros off any car I wanted if Swansea won.

| Forum Thread | Albion away at 20:35 31 Aug 2013
This has to be our first point of the season. Albion and the Swans - both surpassed expectations last season, the hangover ends for one of us tomorrow. You won't be better than us tomorrow Albion. No, you won't be better than us. Heads up Jacks - the League season starts tomorrow. |

Am I the only one concerned that, as the club has an extra 12 games to come, we are loaning out a player to a rival like Sunderland? |
| Forum Thread | Last season into this? at 19:22 26 Aug 2013
Out of the last 36 points we have collected 6. Over a season, that is about 19 points. We finished last season on a beach towel, and started this one admiring our tans and believing that pre season results made us a side ready to battle the top 6. Losing is a habit here now. What chance of us getting in some flair this week? |
