I really wanted this lad to come on the pitch and blow us away, unfortunately in the game in Romania he looked like a parks player. Nerves may have got the better of him but he would be a huge risk in the Prem but his reserve / U21 form doesn't sing out either.

Fair enough - you have clearly followed him closely which I admit I haven't done. On the other hand if you want to get to the top in any sport you have to have that mental strength to cope with setbacks so maybe getting outside that comfort zone might not be a bad thing. As I say though I haven't really seen him play so you may well be right. | |

Wonder if Newport County want him on loan, L2 would be about right... LOW would be a waste of time, may as well leave him rot in the u21s, it's just a hoofing slog of a league he'd learn nothing...
the boy has got talent but I do agree with Winston, the fact that Schechter and Vasquez have got chance after chance when they're clearly no better is wrong, with a few games and some confidence Donnelly may come good, we haven't seen anywhere near enough of him to say he'd do any worse, I actually don't think it's possible to do any worse anyway... |  |

Where would you place Vasquez in that equation then? he came without a reputation as a goalscorer where Rory was prolific does it matter at what level he scored them? A goalscorer is a goalscorer, I feel reasonably sure that if he got the chances to score that Vasquez had he'd have scored, as to whether he'd have got in those positions is another thing though I suppose. |  |
