Where would you place Vasquez in that equation then? he came without a reputation as a goalscorer where Rory was prolific does it matter at what level he scored them? A goalscorer is a goalscorer, I feel reasonably sure that if he got the chances to score that Vasquez had he'd have scored, as to whether he'd have got in those positions is another thing though I suppose. |
Vaquez is another who will develop and he shouldn't be playing at this level either

Nobody is saying Donnelly is up to the Premier League. What they are saying is that he hasn't had a chance to show us one way or another despite a player who clearly isn't having loads.
He might be complete shit. He might be awesome. Nobody is really in a position to say either way because we've barely seen the poor sod. As poor as Vasquez has been Donnelly should have had more chances than he has by now.

I just do not see the point in loaning players like Alvaro in to the club. I would assume we are paying his wages, what's the point when we have a player like Rory Donnelly sitting in the reserves who we are also paying.
Vasquez and Shechter from last season was a complete waste of time, it is saying something when I would prefer Lita every time compared to both. |  | | |

With the power of hindsight, would you agree that the Vasquez transfer was a waste of time and we should have kept Luke Warm until the end of his contract then replaced him with better, rather than another one of the managers dud centre forwards? |  |

What's the risk? it's Man Utd away.. 1-0 down.. 15 minutes left in an FA Cup tie.. Vasquez isn't taking his chance.. Rory will be bouncing and want to impress.. if he fails in 15 minutes.. well it is Man Utd.. we didn't 'expect' anything anyway (apparently and realistically). So what is the risk? |  |

You can't be afraid to try a player out just because a lot of our supporters are f*cking idiots. And to be honest, your description of him as looking like a "parks player" is verging close to that.
At no point in that away game did he look any worse than most of what we've seen from Vasquez. It's borderline negligent on Laudrup's part that he has continued to have so many chances whilst Donnelly has had none, just as it was when Shechter got continually selected last season.

Am I putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 3333.333333r, but didn't the whole outburst from Tutumlu occur a matter of days after Huw came out and said that Schecter wouldn't be signed?
On a more factual note, I don't see how our recruitment team decided that a lightweight forward who wasn't pulling up trees in a less physical but more technical league would do well in a league that is more suited to brute force and power? Or does he also share an agent in the same way that Mr I wouldn't score for Brunswick Schecter did? | |
