I wonder if the owners are getting fed up with him being so negative about next season?Hope he goes and Ainsworth comes in with an experienced head alongside him.Like most chairman/owners they see through Redknapp eventually could be wrong and they confirm he is here for next season.

look back to olly and us. He chose to play long ball 'clothes and press football.' Only when he went to Blackpool did he show courage to have faith in his players and go against the grain and play attractive possession football which ultimately led to promotion. Good football can be winning football too.

With respect, what resources and division at the time were we in?

Nobody plays free flowing football in L1!

Olly with a back room of Ainsworth, Gallen and Bircham sounds amazing and a dream. I just worry it'll become a nightmare.

Not by me . I just made it up . I only follow Birch

Who said it? ... must be very wise .

I only jumped back on to say I would pay another £100 next year not to have Cotterill ATAF

O'Neill is going back to Leicester isn't he?

If we go foreign i reckon there is more chance of us uncovering the new Henning Berg or Solbakken than Laudrup or Pochettino...

My father and I did wonder why Cotterill was sat up with Tony and Phil during the Reading match. Maybe as someone else stated 'Arry as Director of Football and Cotterill as Coach?

Could be the usual spin, club make 'big' announcement that harry is staying and expect dancing in the street.

Better than uncovering an old Steve Cotterill

he does it on purpose

he done it at saints.
he once said that our young'uns were never good enough for first team football (when he took us down to the NPC). he had a public spat with the chairman saying he needs "1 or 2 players'...The chairman gave him money, then he needed '1 or 2 more players" as he was "down to the bare bones"

he stated as fact that our young players were never good enough to make it.

those players included, Surman, Dyer, Bale, Walcott, Lallana

you will notice how he will refer to QPR as 'them" and "they"
its all part of his act

Olly says himself that he had a total change of philosophy after what happened at Leicester. Decided to play a much more attractive, attacking brand of football than he ever had before and give it a go. Next job at Blackpool he got them promoted playing some lovely stuff.

Much as I love what they did for us, no way to Warnock and Olly.

Football managers are just like ex-girlfriends - fun enough to just remember the good bits, but never go back

I'll stay indoors, I think.

Looking at this from another angle - has another club come in for Harry? - might sound unlikely given our relegation, but there had been rumours that West Ham were going to show Big Sam the door at the end of the season. These days, football is just mad enough for something like this to happen.

A new broom might be the way forward for us - has the rot set in too deep?

"Thank you for supporting Queens Park Rangers Steep Staircase"... and I thought I'd signed up for a rollercoaster.

It'll be Arry's agent letting Sky know. No point wasting time in alerting other clubs to his availability.

At least if he goes the Southampton fans will disappear too.

Or, and this is a leap on my part, they might find something else to do with their lives...

No surprise if he leaves really. A lot media emphasis was put upon him when he arrived, all that Houdini, magic, wheeler dealer myth or nonsense whichever way you see it. I don't think even he knew when he turned up, that he was going to be the great saviour that so many thought he was going to be, especially with the task that was presented to him. And so it has proved. He's done what he could in the time he has been at the club, but with no one in the team pulling together or showing much pride, he stood little chance.

Next season is going to be a massive challenge for whoever takes over. Inviting old managers back is not always a wise thing. It's never the same second time round, especially if those managers have tasted success at the club previously. Times change. Anyway Holloway will stay at Palace if he gets them up via the play offs. The same will happen with Poyet at Brighton and who can blame them for staying at their respective teams if the challenge of Premier League football presents itself to them.

No, it's very difficult to know who will come in, but I foresee a very tough campaign ahead of us next season.

There aint half been some clever bastards.

I was just going to say that , Sky knew they were meeting desperate for a "breaking news " story . Someone at the club just says we will let you know in a day or so .

Could go either way IMO

Absolutely, he learnt (the hard way).

But Mr Nov77 raised his abilities whilst with us which was unfair.

We played some good, bad and indifferent football under Olly. L1 and the CCC is tough and we didn't have great ball players.

Whereas that blackpool team with Charlie Adam did.

Here's another tweet he sent to Clarke Carlisle about 'ollie:

@clarkecarlisle5 you remember after the Crewe game we were comprehensively beaten. We were told that you can't go up playing football like that. They went up automatic that year.

Can you guess who it was? Someone not too impressed with ollie's 'clothes and press' football.
