I got to say thd lad is too heavy and flat footed luton 2nd goal HD made ig so easy for thd fella to score,he should have got side on jockeys got closer and put his arm orbody across his man ,instead HD stood back flatfooted heavy stiff and made it easy for the fella to skip past him.some people might think I'm being harsh or having a go just being realistic

If he wasn’t Welsh he’d be held a lot more accountable.

Who let the man go for the second after the one tow failed. A bit more dog after losing it and there would be no goal. Ollie Cooper perhaps.

Ollie didn't come on until after the second goal.

If you don't get proper covering you end up with one on one situations, for the second goal two men against two men, Darling was got the better of and then so was Cabango.
Martin ended up playing Naughton on left and Manning on righ, why for Manning to cover Cabango's lack' of pace and Naughton to be covered likewise by Darling but both Manning and Naughton pushed on and we were exposed.

It was remarked upon during the game that both full backs were on their wrong natural sides.

Darling was turned inside out Cabango was left with 2/3rd of the field to cover with no one defending on the left and four Swans players sauntering back. Cabango stood up and edged Morris wide but might have done better. Good finish but Fisher's effort was weak.
But hey ho let’s all make it Cabango's fault.
Whoscored rating Darling and Wood 6.6 Cabango 7.1

Cabango has often been the Goat when in fact he is another good young pro sacrificed on the Russy Altar of Arrogance and Incompetence .
He is a centre half .Full Stop .
Same with Rhys Williams ,come to that.

He is a destroyer of talent .

Manning's not got the pace to cover anyone.

Naughton hasn't got the pace to play full back which is why he has found using his experience as effectively a sweeper.
Manning ends up forgetting his defensive duties and e ds up rash challenges.
Don't trusted both Naughton and Manning as full backs both needed Roberts and Bidewell respectively to help them.
Increasingly during the chasing of the games, we leave ourselves exposed. This Saturday both fullbacks pushed forward as well as the midfield leaving no cover.

Correct.

Darling tried to win a ball he was 2nd favourite to win, got sucked in and missed...from that moment I turned to the boy and said; "we're in trouble here" (as it was one of those situations where we didn't have enough men behind the ball and were pulled apart from each other - big spaces in-between the defenders).

As soon as the player who turned Darling made the correct decision and clipped that ball in early, into the striker, we were done.

And both playing in centre midfield offering very little width whatsoever.

A one on one against an isolated defender is always advantage to the striker. Cabango showed him wider onto his left foot there’s not much more he could do. You’re just asking for a penalty if you challenge in that situation.

Cabango has been out of his depth at this level since before Martin arrived.

You're right that Martin has limited whatever potential he had left however.

Unfortunately for Ben he hasn't got the spatial awareness/ intelligence or whatever else you want to call it that is necessary for a centre back so lacking in agility and acceleration.

Hopefully we can get a fee for him and replace him with someone who improves the starting eleven.

Don’t agree Dwight. This lid has been mucked about something rotten.
He is a central defender or nothing.
