Right so it’s your feelings versus what actually happened again, these sort of discussions can’t really go anywhere.
Whether you buy Cooper having less resources or not is irrelevant, he just simply did. Potter spent more in his single season than Cooper in in both his combined. The players Potter had at his disposal that Cooper didn’t are tens of millions worth more than the other way around. It’s as simple as that.
Both Fulham and Palace will be above Brighton within 4 years, nobody seems to want to take me up on that. There is a reason for that. |

It’s widely accepted he wants to go to a bigger club yes, but that doesn’t mean it’s widely accepted he simply wants to leave. I would imagine the majority of our squad would like to go to a bigger club for more money if the opportunity arose, doesn’t mean they don’t want to be here or don’t want to try though.
In fact that desire to go on to bigger and better things would spur most people on to put yourself in the shop window. Again I refer to Dan James and Ferrie Bodde. Neither got their move after making it clear they wanted to go, both came back and arguably played even better.
This is modern football, everyone knows the score. Loyalty died out years ago, if there is a bigger club calling - everyone will go. I’m pretty sure Sousa used to say to the players that the very reason they should be playing well is to put themselves in a position to leave for bigger and better things. I won't shed a tear if he feels he needs to leave to progress his career, it will quite likely progress my enjoyment of the Swans, but I don't subscribe to the mantra that he has to go. If he stays we will support him. My feeling is that he is going nowhere as no club serious about progressing will be willing to take a chance on him. Cooper does not wan't to stay either his ego thinks he can do better but the owners giving the jobs out think otherwise.
