These two never made it big for some unknown reason, but then maybe I like it like that...
Have you ever listened to The Rakes' second and third albums? Pretty clear why they never made it big.
The Young Knives are actually still going but since their second LP in 2009 (which was criminally ignored) they make pretty hardcore experimental stuff

Ha - true! The debut album was always going to be a hard act to follow, still there are some good tracks on the other albums.
Yeah saw Young Knives about a year ago or so, the experimental stuff is very different to the first few albums! I follow them on FB to see what they're up to.
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
About bloody time!. What took you Indie boys so long.. ?

Nice to hear from you sir, and a great selection, particularly "Moving" that is a wonderful tune

So many good tracks, you are right. This is on my favourite album of theirs but I haven't heard them all Joe. Can you recommend any others?
Sorry if this is a cop-out answer, but 50,000 Fall Fans Can't Be Wrong is an amazing compilation. It's also a good gateway to their other albums. If you're looking for a studio album give 'Hex Enduction Hour' or 'The Nation's Saving Grace' a go.
Live at the Witch Trials is an absolute classic! Industrial estate is a great song, so British!

Is your profile picture from an Aphex Twin video?
Cheers Jo, much appreciated and yes it is from Windowlicker. My favourite individual artist. Do you like him?
