Why would anyone want to play for QPR?! 18:44 - Aug 8 with 8675 views | BedfordR | Ok, the second half and the result today are poor, very poor, but ask yourself why any player/manager/coach would want to be involved with our club?! The players get slated and booed after one poor performance. One. Possibly even only one half, if we are honest. Polter got 10 minutes today and yet someone behind me proudly announced that he is 'f***ing useless' and should 'f**k off back to Germany'. Konchesky was another to come in for it. First half, when the players were trying to pass the ball around and create things with possession football, people around me were moaning that we needed to go more direct. More direct!! Second half the same fans were moaning that we were just hoofing it! Football is all about opinions, and we will all have differing opinions about who is good, who isn't etc. However I am really struggling to see why we have so many fans that are so keen to get on the players backs if they aren't 3-0 up by half time. If Austin had any thoughts about staying (I'm not suggesting he does, I imagine he has known he is going to leave for months) then being booed off the pitch today will only have killed those thoughts off completely. Just fed up with the negativity at Rangers, why can't we turn up and back the team for 90 minutes each week?!
Why would anyone want to play for QPR?! on 19:03 - Aug 8 with 6288 views | CHUBBS | The owner has spent top 6 Premier league money yet we sit at the bottom of the championship. I know its only one game but when you spend that sort of money expectations go through the roof and that kills the atmosphere when they are not reached. Its all down to TF.
Why would anyone want to play for QPR?! on 19:03 - Aug 8 with 6231 views | enfieldargh | Supporting QPR is a passion. We often play poorly and loose, sometimes we win. But being there watching the team is what its all about. Rain or shine, hot or freezing. You chose to support this club and should not expect to see miracles. Some days good some days bad.... Maybe Ramsey will be a complete and utter failure, who knows but still support your team. Thank god we've only got Brentford & Fulham still away this season, Hot alcohol fueled away days in London and a poor qpr performance ...nuff said.

Ok how about we spent top 6 premier league money and we're in the championship below the other 14 clubs that spent far less.

| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

After 1 game ..that is the point. Look at the table , will Derby finish where they are ? or MK Dons win it ?

I'm not in the crowd that thinks we will be relegated however after the signings in the last week (especially Konchesky)i'm a little worried that we are still signing players without a real plan. I know its only 1 game but i really can't see this club doing anything other than struggle with yet again such an imbalanced squad. I like and don't blame CR however i do point the finger at TF who has made one ridiculous decision after another. Essex if we don't get promotion in the next couple of seasons do you honestly think TF and his merry men will continue to bank roll our club?

I cant see how you say there is no plan . We are light in defence with injuries and departures , we sign 2 full backs and a centre half . We have 3 players who could go , we have covered two of them and IMO my opinion have a replacement for Charlie lined up if he goes. In answer to your final question , I dont know and frankly dont care . He will have to sell if he wants any money back at all and he isnt universally popular anyway , to be generous he is making it a long and expensive learning curve . I will still go whoever owns it or what division we are in and I am sure that goes for most on here . | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Well if they walk there's a good chance we won't exist so you won't be going anywhere. We signed a 34 year old fb who's only gonna get worse, whats that all about? Another who will be 30 soon. I presumed we were going to lower the age of the team giving the young players a chance to develop. I could have scouted these 2 players. I'll support the team to the bitter end including CR who for me is gonna have to learn the hard way if he's to survive the new year. This clubs being run so naively its embarrassing.
Why would anyone want to play for QPR?! on 19:57 - Aug 8 with 5884 views | BromleyHoop | The signing of Konchesky ( who sounds like he had an absolute 'mare today) just seems like a lack of confidence on the part of Ramsay. Not confidence in the other left backs ie Kpekwa but in himself. Konchesky is exactly the sort of signing that Redknapp specialised in during his time at Rangers; experience is everything, and in buying Konchesky I think Ramsay did exactly what Redknapp would have done. That for me is the most worrying thing.

There are three or four players who will challenge for and probably take Koncheskys shirt .He was signed and played today as they are all unavailable
Why would anyone want to play for QPR?! on 20:23 - Aug 8 with 5748 views | GetMeRangers | The attitude of some, and dare say quite vocal minority, do puzzle me at times. No matter what anyone says, this is one game and I really dont feel you can judge a season on a single performance. For me, we seem reminiscent of a team that has had a poor preseason- lacking fitness and some not used to playing together. That is not a surprise. Konchesky has just arrived. henry hasnt played any preseason and Perch one game. Charlie looks unfit, and CR could be questioned at leaving him on too long so that he picked up an injury. I could go on, but I see a lot of hope. We will lose to Cardiff and Wolves and maybe I should break a habit of a lifetime to back the oppo on Tuesday to pay for the day... Except, that is it for me. It is a day out. Disappointing if you lose, especially as I felt it was there for the taking after the first half, today. If you only go to QPR to see us win, then you are supporting the wrong team. I had a great day out. I will on Tuesday. On Saturday, my youngest goes to LR for the first time ever. Wolves... only game four yet we will have played three competitive games by then and i believe we will see something closer to a team after a proper pre-season

Can't agree more with this. This board always seems surprised at every defeat, like a shoal of angry goldfish. Everything a disaster. Shaking buckets outside Saffa Rd was a disaster! I'd recommend not giving a fvck. It works for me. A nice day out, a few beers, and Bobby Zamora moment every two decades or so is all I require. [Post edited 8 Aug 2015 21:03]

Kpekwa was available today as far as I'm aware and he apparently had a good pre season. Why not play him instead of the easy Redknapp method and get a player in who's experienced but way, way passed his best.

He has a fractured hand. Konk was the only player available. Despite his age and experience, it is quite a big ask joining a side two days before the season starts. Still he has managed to kit his kids out in the kit and whatever his flaws he appears keen to do well himself and for the club

ha ha please SWP was leaving messages like that through out his time ripping our club off😂 The guy is 34 exactly the sort of signing Redknap got hammered for. Nothing wrong with being positive but that signing stinks of desperation.

Yes it is desperation. We are without FOUR left backs and very short across the whole defence. I dont expect him to be first choice as the others start to return from injury

The only reason Charlton are second in the league is because we didn't turn up. Still need time to gel, but we really need to get the wins early on. This game should have been an easy win, but CR failed to change his tactics to adjust to the team we were playing. charlton are known for their physicality so we should be looking to ping balls behind for our faster players, or keep it calm, composed and along the ground. Noticed we play a lot in the air these past seasons, yet a lot of our team are more of the pacy and nimble type. Hope Ramsey sorts this out soon

Why not play our own young player instead of paying some has been a fortune to be bang average? I'll tell you why,it's the QPR way, instead of investing in youth we show a distinct lack confidence in them. Kappekwa could not have been any worse could he?

I agree with this, not fair to criticise CR after 1 match but when he has had the time and matches that he has had it is all very disappointing. I totally disagreed with CR getting the role, just hope he does get moved on if we have a poor start, the trouble is I fear he will be given a huge amount of time by his mate Les by which time we could be in big trouble.

Just to confirm Kpekewa had a broken hand and was not available for selection, Yunns injured for approx 1 month, Robinsons out till April approx and Traore is just completely pony and he's also injured. Konchesky was the only available option and he will not be first choice all season..... [Post edited 8 Aug 2015 21:44]

Even still there must have been a cheaper younger option. I hope we haven't signed him up to a season long loan.
