Shame. I like him. Our best technical player by some distance but you can't have players who don't want to play. Opens the door for Doughty on his return. He isn't as good technically but he does know how to link play and he is an Ollie type player.
A player that frustrates despite being our "best" player has rarely been a match winner you want for his type. No space for a 10 in Ollies 4-3-3 so either a winger or playmaker deeper will be the replacement.
Someone told me today that Washington is off to Brentford has anyone else heard that?

He doesn't want to be here and has been poor this season, so good riddance Doesn't deserve to wear our number number 10 shirt a very poor mans tarrabat and that's being kind to him, no considence we have started winning games without this show pony in the team going missing Bye, bye
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

A decent player but has been poor for the last 3 months or so . A move would be good for both parties and hopefully we will at least get our money back
As for Les F I don't know 1 fan who wanted him to leave nor read or heard anyone say anything of the sort either a bit of history rewriting there to fit your narrative
Not history rewriting at all. Les got tons of stick by those who called him lazy, and plenty were quite happy to see him go because they believed Gallen and Dichio were good enough replacements. Always blew my mind standing in the loft the stick he took. But uf you didnt hear it, you didnt hear it. Or don't remember it. Whenever he had a bad game it was ' f a ff to man utd /spurs/ liverpool' or whoever he was being linked with at the time.
Bare bones.

Conversation in the pub after the game, before hearing this news, was not physically strong enough for this league (unlike Adel who had great upper body strength), probably more suited to the Premier and if we get a good offer we should sell.
Out of form and light weight but still the only player we have that has any skill going forward.
Will excel in a better team unfortunately.
Whack a decent price on him , if no takers then tell him to pull his finger out and he can fcuk off at the end of season !! None of this loan bllox !!!

Really think Luongo can ply the number 10 role. Think he would offer a better physical prescence if we play one up front. You could then have Ariel and Cousins sitting deep. Cousins could make runs from deep if needed too

Heard this and sent a link earlier on. Same geezer who gave an interview start of the season who said Maciabi Haifia (spelling) and anyone else who wanted to sign him could do one??? He was here to do his best for QPR and his family as they were the same thing? Fella who loved the club, the shirt, the badge?
Just another player passing through. Fantastic touch, great free kicks at times and awesome on the ball Counter that with going missing, terrible corners, non existent defensive work and a poor goal return
See ya for £3mill in this stupid market
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

They all are mate, no problem with that but just don't give it the Corinthian interview and then go looking for the coin
Grant Hall - fantastic. Progresses all the time, head down, keep working. Bid comes in and too good to refuse then he goes and I look for his career and wish him all the very best. No show pony stuff or "Christmas cracker injury" there. Christ I hope no bids come in for GH though!!

I know, mate, It's surprisingly easy to let him go. Inconsistent imo and no heart. Not to mention his wages.
Very good call from LF imho. This is why we need a DoF.

To be fair, his goal return will be hard to replace from midfield. He scored 14 league goals in 59 games, which is a very respectable return, especially considering we haven’t been blessed with goals from midfield over the years.
They also say statistically that Chery was one of the players who ran the most in any given match across our players. I think he tried hard enough, but his form (and confidence due to the unnecessary harsh reaction of the crowd towards him) dipped a little bit recently and with this impending move, he's probably ensured he remains injury free to ensure it goes through.

Changing managers always means changing players, so no surprise if he goes. How many goals has he scored from open play compared to set pieces? For a number10 role he doesn't create enough chances for himself or score enough. Part of JFH downfall was being over reliant on him. If he does go I don't think we'll miss him too much. Shame really as he's had his moments but just wasn't consistent enough. He has been given plenty of chances. Could he improve as a player? I'm not sure. 28 yrs old?, as NeilSI says, he should be in his prime. If he doesn't want to play then its an adios from me.

Yes I heard this a few weeks back. Interestingly he apparently walked straight down the tunnel at full time.

Splitter.. maybe a bit unfair but at 28 and not reached the standard I think he could have and clearly not up for a battle best to let him go.
Washington, I said awhile ago as others have, he is really not very good, Sylla has shown far more in a few games than Washington has in a year, won't be sorry to see him go.
I'm surprised by all the comments about whether he scores goals from open play versus set pieces, I mean, let's just remind ourselves about the 10 he scored last season. Nine of those were from open play and one, the last, was a penalty...
Some real beauties in there too.
If he stayed with us, and continued his current goals to game ratio, he would be on course to end up with more goals than Martin Rowlands (33 in 198), Gareth Ainsworth (36 in 141) and Adel Taarabt (34 in 150) by the same amount of appearances each, and those guys had pretty reasonable records.

4 goals this season 3 of which pens 3 assists. As the star undroppable number 10 we should expect better. Seems to move every couple of years as well. At the very peak of his transfer power be interesting to see what his moves is Mcintyre seems to think its agreed in principle

Accurate Neil, difference being each you named loved playing for us, with genuine heart and are Club heroes. Chery wants out based on salary. So his continued form, which is off, wont help so best he goes now.

I just don't see an issue with him when it comes to questioning his heart. I've never felt that way about him, but clearly some people do, for whatever reason.
I'm not sure he wants out based on salary either, because we signed him in the first-place with the hope that we'd help him fulfil his ambition and win promotion. That's probably the project we sold him to get him here, but also on the understanding that if it didn't work out, we wouldn't stand in his way if he was able to get that move upwards (and clearly there is interest in him).
I think the reality is a lot more simple, in essence, he wants to realise that dream but is asking the club to compensate him massively if he was to stay and make him an offer that he sensibly cannot refuse. Which, if that was the case, to me, it's all pretty normal and straightforward stuff in the business of football.
But yeah, I saw this coming back in the summer really. It's no surprise, albeit I felt he'd proved himself after just one season and didn't need to wait until this window to make his move.

So he's not injured then. Shock!
I think this is the most disappointing bit as why go on Instagram before the Brighton game and say you are injured and hope to be back playing on Saturday when clearly you must already know you are about to hand in a transfer request (assuming Dave M is correct which he usually is) - very bad form,
Like him as a player and loved his goal against Middlesborough last season - shame all round.
