well massive losses can be changed with a big loan to the club from the owners much the same as what Man City have done or re naming the stadium for a large amount of money.
I do agree we'd face a tough summer and some big decisions if we don't go up but they won't necessarily be fatal and Fernandes has too much riding on the stadium to walk away, that is a gold mine for him and his partners |

Fail to go up this season, with a 100% loss fine, plus another year without PL money and Tune are going to be putting in somewhere close to their total investment so far just to keep us solvent.

never said everything was all fine but to say that's it game over if we don't go up is a little dramatic to say the least.
Not sure how you know what any fine would be, the FFP rules in the Championship have not been tested in a courtroom yet and will be interesting to see how much Bolton and Blackburn are fined this season which will be a good guideline |  | | |

To be fair, Jamie does have a point. With ST prices going down, and only parachute payments to help, and plenty of players with big wages still on our bill, the accounts will not look healthy. That much is obvious. Although, of course, every single club in the country, bar one or two, has fairly huge debts. The problem with Tony just cutting his losses if we don't go up is that he and his investors' losses will be enormous - and there will be no real chance of clawing that back, because no one will pay decent money for a debt-ridden club. Actually, this summer will see that wage bill reduced significantly as several players' contracts come to an end. The 100% fine is yet to be tested and already looks shaky, legally speaking, so that's nothing more than speculation at present.
So the idea of us being 'finished' because of a failure to get promotion is at best pessimistic and at worse silly, attention-seeking doom-mongering. A bit like this time last year when Jamie insisted for months on end that Steve Cotterill was going to be our new manager. |  |

Nobody will pay the 100% fine - they'll either cook the books and put the money in via sponsorship or such like, or they'll invite the League to bankrupt the club for not paying the fine.
What would be the point in financing the clocking up of a loss, incurring a fine, and then covering the loss AND the fine? Easier and cheaper to clear the loss and only pay once. Nobody is that much of an idiot. |  | | |

After last night i think he could be the biggest loss this window if we dont get him. There seemed to be a lot of space in their defence last night and it just needed someone to run at them instead of passing all the time. I think townsend would be been perfect.
Harry should pull out all the stops to get this deal done. This league is full of big stikers like Belfodil, but Ntep would dominate IMO. You only have to look at Ings and Dyer to see what pace does to this league. |  |
