Seem's like a lot of money with all that has gone before, I wouldn't like to watch a five minute video of Hoillet and then five minutes of Ntep and then write a cheque for that sort of money with any confidence. The rumour mill seems to respond to invention! Given that we've needed a Striker for three months you'd think that a list of three strikers we'd looked at might be sitting on Phillip Beards desk......I could see that sort of money being made available over a four year contract with promotion being the first stage!

There's a difference I'd say, he is 21 and is wanted by the likes of Arsenal, PSG, Roma etc. I understand your concern but I think it is definitely worth the risk and I am waiting for this deal to hopefully go through. I would pay the 6 million for him without question. From what I have seen of him, he can take on players effectively and can belt some rockets in I've noticed. The lad isn't short of confidence, thats for sure. Think of Remy, we can make double our money on him and hopefully Ntep will also have a big release clause attached to his contract if we sign him.

I think that's all true, I've seen some video of him looking like he's disappearing up his own channel, but there is no history of injury and he looks a much stronger guy. I think Remy is one of the great Premiership strikers currently I love watching him always making a little space. I hope we get Ntep because he looks like he could cover for Austin and also add to a threat out wide, maybe instead of the reliably mediocre O'Neil. I can also see that maybe a deal like Remy's which gets the Clubs their top money but also allows him to get into The Premiership.

Yes I agree with you but I wouldn't call Ntep 'cover' for Austin, I'd call him Austin's partner, because he has shown he can score goals. Or if so, like you say, play him outwide where he is probably most effective. And yeah we should be getting top dollar for Remy and squeeze as much money out clubs as possible because like you say he is one of the premier leagues best strikers. This video of Ntep caught my eye the most. It is quite long but he kept me mesmerised with his pace and the way he takes on players with ease. Also look at some of the goals he scores, especially the one at 10:22 in the video!!! He can hit a football alright :O

Watching that video tells me Hoilett is on his way to Stoke hopefully.
Exciting, and has some sort of footballing brain, strong, quick, looking cheaper every time I look at some these video's.....lets hope we can pull this off.....a nervous week ahead!
Why the fck would Stoke or anyone else sign Hoillet with his injury record last 2 seasons?
You do know who's in charge up there dont you? You'r probably right but my real point was going on that vid he's more of a Hoilett type player than cover for CA.
edit; I mean he seems to play a role Hoilett is supposed to play. I knw Hoilett is gash and have said so for ages
What a load of rubbish. Hoilett is not gash. Hoilett is very good. He is not perfect but just because a player isn't perfect doesn't mean he is bad. Plus, he is always injured, which means that he is of limited use as everytime he builds up his match fitness, his hamstring goes ping. But to say he is gash is ridiculous. Not every player can be Pele.
Maybe if we get both Ntep and Belfodil that would mean that AJ and Junior are both off somewhere else. Harry is building a sustainable prem team I think which is finally showing some good forward planning.
Both of these will lower the average age of our squad too - long overdue.

Feel a bit wary of the sums being quoted now to be honest. Looks a promising talent and it's always good to be ambitious but are we wise to take a gamble of this size? If he's not mustard and we don't go up we'll not break even getting rid.
