The Red Wall in motion and it’s been on the move all day Monday, 21st Nov 2022 15:22 by Swansea Independent Approximately three thousand followers of the Welsh national team are making their way from Dubai to Doha today. And to be honest it seems a lot more. Our numerous and many friends and members of this site are supplying us with some excellent detail and photography of the travelling red wall. Already there are an estimated seven hundred who have chosen to be in Doha rather than Dubai. Things seem to be going smoothly as well, unlike the FIFA ticket App which broke down and crashed leaving hundreds of fans outside England’s game against Iran. Wales fans get access to their tickets on the app from 8pm tonight which is two hours before kick off, fingers crossed all goes smoothly. Fifty four year olds broadcaster Rhodri Williams who currently lives in Qatar believes the country has everything any Cymru follower would need to have a fantastic time in the country. Speaking to the Qatar news hub he said “ Come and enjoy yourself, and just show the kind of respect you would show anywhere else. Enjoy what is laid on for you — which will be a lot — and just have a level of mindfulness for the region and its traditions. There are so many traditions here that are interesting, so I think it’s nice if people take the time to learn a little bit more about the culture here and experience” The red wall this morning on the first Doha flight With so many bucket hats in one place we are certain this evening we will see a wonderful sight as the first game firnWales gets underway against the USA. With England hammering Iran earlier today a win tonight would set up Wales for a qualification decider against Iran later in the week. Dubai airport this morning was quite a sight We will have more reports and team news later in the day. Diolch.
