Always thought the decision to take the World Cup here was for the wrong reason.(Money) Now they start to think about the consequences of their decision.

Qatar Bid Book FIFA Evaluation

"The fact that the competition is planned in June/July, the two hottest months of the year in this reagion, has to be considered as a potential risk for players, spectators, officials and the FIFA family in both open training sites and in stadiums and necessitates the taking of specific precautions (for example: hydration schemes, sun shields, ice, cooling mist, cooling breaks).

Over all Fifa requirements and international standards for health and medical services are likely to be met.

I don't know what all the fuss is about, I reckon John Terry will be fine with

hydration schemes - bottle of water
sun shield - a hat
ice - ice lolly
cooling mist - water pistol
cooling break - 10 minutes per period of play (advertisements between periods guaranteed)

Poll: DF in or out

Be funny if we don't actually qualify.

Poll: Should Bury shop elsewhere for frames?

It will be played in winter. Don't see any other way around it. They certainly won't move it anywhere else.

The decision to go to Qatar was made on 2nd December 2010! it took the FA a long time to work out what the temperatures are likely to be and that we might not be able to play football in them. Better that we go through the motions and not qualify than have all the hype and have someone seriously hurt or worse as a result.

I don't think that it's The FA's fault tbf, it's down to the FIFA's executive members committee who hosts The World Cup.
