Redknapp 17:19 - May 12 with 14356 views | johnhoop | Is anybody else(apart from the Southampton trolls who can p-ss right off),beginning to have serious misgivings about his managerial ability given his totally sh-t team selections week after week?

Redknapp on 19:18 - May 12 by Gloucs_R | Dune, what do you think of your new manager? Seems like a step backwards after Adkins? |
I'm very happy with him. Young and motivated and has got us playing attacking football with a high line. That said we now do well against the big clubs and struggle more against small clubs which is the opposite of under Adkins. Exciting times ahead and I wish you well for next year if you get rid of bag puss.

Redknapp on 19:27 - May 12 with 1599 views | BklynRanger | That was a lazy team selection as far as I'm concerned. People don't want to pay good money to see Bosingwa and Mbia fcuking about for 45 minutes. After the season we've had the least he could have done was put in the players who care - Derry, Mackie, Adel should have started as well as somebody like Harriman. We didn't need to win but we didn't need to be insulted by the sight of those kunts either. HR seemed to be making a point about the squad at the expense of those who've putting up with the sight of them all season. Farce. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Redknapp on 19:44 - May 12 with 1528 views | DejR_vu | I think the biggest question mark with HR is not his ability, it's his age. If we are going to sort this mess out properly we're not going to do it over one Summer. We need to clear the whole squad and change the ethos of the club. That's going to take 3-4 years by which time HR will be knocking on 70. Can't see any way he will be here then, so as much as I like HR I think we are just wasting time keeping him. Getting him in hasn't kept us up so move him on now and get someone in with a view to building something for the long term.

Redknapp on 19:47 - May 12 with 1516 views | WeaverQPR | Redknapp looks as uninterested as Hoilett,Bos and Mbia. He says he is up for it next year but he didnt look that way. Last home game just pick the fans favourites, what did he expect picking Bos/Mbia?

Redknapp on 19:49 - May 12 with 1503 views | derbyhoop | The damage had been done long before HR took over. The signings he made in January have made us a bit better but, even before the relagation was mathematically confirmed, the players knew they were going down and the attitude has reflected that. Remy will go in the Summer. We may even make a profit on him. TBH was only a 6 month deal for a free agent and didn't cost us much. Yun Suk Young may well have been signed to appease the Korean fans and is young enough to come good. We don't know. Townsend, on loan, has been a star. Probably too good for the Championship, now. Jenas has been steady. You can see the quality but he does drift out of games. But, he's probably earning considerably less than players who have given a lot less. We'll see if Samba can rediscover his Blackburn form, after a proper pre-season. And HR has all Summer to try to stamp his mark on the squad. Frankly, I don't envy him. Let's see how we go next season before writing him off. As Ruben said in his interview, QPR were a club that required rebuilding. Sadly, nearly every thing that's been rebuilt on the field, has made us worse.

Redknapp on 18:29 - May 12 by Rangersw12 | He shouldn't of played Bosingwa since he refused to sit on the bench as for the other he has been working with a lot of bad apples but isn't he supposed to be some sort of a great motivator !?? I'm more concerned with the fact he bombed Faurlin out on loan and has treated our best player ( Taarabt) disgracefully he should be trying to build a team around those individuals End of the day he is only out for himself and that has been proved with his face saving press conferences in the last two weeks |
He should have dealt with the Bosingwa debacle internally. It should never have been made public. Still played him although he was an obvious target for the fans. I felt sick today hearing the players getting booed while the team was being introduced. Totally embarrassing and F8cking pissed of with HR

To be fair Clint Hill is quite prone to slagging others off in the local rags.

agree there Taxi we have always been a harsh crowd to please But today was a slap in the face to all QPR fans, we know what bowsw*anker,Mbia , Holiett, Zamora ,Green even Traore bring to the team, absolutely feck all, today if you had played Tarbs, Sutherland, Lennox, Harriman, Diakitie, Mackie, HR could have come out and said we are planning for next year and these are the blokes im giving a go, yes there would have been a few groans but the majority would have got behind the team, We are down so why not give these lads a go, cos if its toxic now wait till we go 2 down to Barnsley on the 1st day of the season
| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Redknapp on 20:20 - May 12 with 1441 views | TacticalR | This (long) article by Redknapp's biographer is well worth reading, as it offers a quite a different perspective on Redknapp: 'Spurs were the first truly big team that Redknapp managed and he was over 60 when he took the job. It wasn't a job he had actually been seeking and a large factor in his agreeing to accept it — apart from the money — appeared to be that London was close enough to his home in Sandbanks near Poole in Dorset for him to commute daily. A lifestyle choice, rather than the realisation of a football dream. All in all, then, Redknapp's may have been the career of a hard-working and talented manager, but it wasn't one driven by the vaulting ambition of a Fergie, Wenger or Mourinho, the alpha males of football for whom anything less than 110%, heart-on-sleeve commitment to being the best is an intolerable admission of weakness. Redknapp wants to do well, he's prepared to work hard to succeed, but the bottom line is that there are other things that mean more to him than football. Redknapp's main aim has always been to make a living out of the game, to earn enough money to provide for his family while doing something he enjoyed.' http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/apr/30/the-real-harry-redknapp

Redknapp on 23:04 - May 12 with 1363 views | Ranger78 | I'm so glad questions are finally starting to be asked. He is supposed be a top class manager with amazing motivational and man management skills??? In my opinion the man is a joke! All he does week after week is blame everyone else and chuck how bad his players are!!! He is so self centred, he would stop at nothing to protect his own reputation and keep the myth alive that he's any good. He could not give a toss about QPR, I wish he would just f#*€ off

Agree with this and Parker's posts .I had serious misgivings about H and said as much as the time. The unbelevable team selection and tactics against a very poor Toon side team up at their place sealed it for me.Straight after we ( or Adel did) destroyed Fulham too.I still think he deliberately went for a loss that day at Toon to justify his coming Jan splurge.

Redknapp on 18:00 - May 12 by oldmeadoniansR | I agree about taarabt. He should always be played. But we cannot be sure what is going on behind doors. I also agree that a young hungry manager may have been a good idea but not now. Harry's seen what shite we have and will have a plan. These games unfortunately for season ticket holders don't mean much in terms of next season. I can see a scenario where Harry steadies the ship establishes us in the championship leaves at the end of next season and then a new manager may come on to take us forward. |
Taarabt has not been starting because he will not be featuring next year.

No none of those three either. Thank goodness. I am led to believe, from a very reliable source, that Adel has been a bad influence / disruptive in the training room and that as long as someone is prepared to take him at a reasonable price, he will be gone this summer.
Redknapp on 07:12 - May 13 with 1232 views | DesertBoot | But who will sign Taarabt? Apart from perhaps a mid table Ligue 1 sign I'm struggling to think of where he'd go.

So Melaka, does this statement come from some ITK insider knowledge derived from your travels with Tony ? Because if it does it is really worrying as it implies that; a)We're getting rid of,or at least resigned to losing, the one player who has a proven history of being a regular matchwinner in the Championship. b)The team next year IS going to feature the gutless mercenary dross of Boswanka, M'bia,Toillet etc, etc, that the fans were subjected to yesterday.
Redknapp on 07:16 - May 13 with 1225 views | johnhoop | Sorry,by the time I posted the one above I can see you'd already answered it in response to someone else's question.
Redknapp on 07:18 - May 13 with 1220 views | MelakaRanger | And as for Harry I don't think anyone could have saved our season after Hughes 14 games in charge with just 4 points, coupled with the complete destruction of the team spirit. For now I think we should all just calm down and see what happens next season. We need to give Harry 10 games with 'his team' to see if hes up to the job or not. Lets look at his signings and who is got rid of. Lets see what expectations are set by The Board and whether we start to meet them or hopefully exceed them. The first few games will tell a lot but ten games in we will have a good enough picture of how the season is panning out. If he is meeting the targets set by The Board - be it mid table, top 6 or top 4 then he must be allowed to continue. If he is not, then its not too late to take corrective action.
Redknapp on 07:30 - May 13 with 1200 views | parker64 | Not sure AT has the stomach for another season in the championship. He's always had a big build but looks overweight now. Shame to see him go but as has been said not sure who would take him on. Can't see where he would go in the English game so maybe France.
