How are we here? Rock bottom what feels like yesterday and now lauded as the next best thing. We are confused utsiders more so. Not even in the top twenty best championship podcasts devoting time to us. Marti, flavour if the month. My question is where does this upturn in form come from? My answer is that it must be multi faceted. Marti is tremendous but the players must be driving this. A disapproving look from Dunne, Field fronting you up, Cook demanding more. I think we have a spine of sensible, committed professionals who are driving this team forward. I would add Fox and Frey to this list. I know this is conjecture but I think it is the collective spirit promoted by a number of key individuals that is improving results. Long may irl continue. |

It was foggy out there but I am not sure if Walsh touched the ball with his hands at any point in open play. Leicester were clinical in front off goal but it was not as if they bombarded our goal. I honestly don't remember him making a save with the big caveat that I could not see one of the goals the whole game! |

I mean this is shit. I was there today and manically celebrated Bennie coming on. Bennie for god's sake. But in reality does our current shitness reflect the relative value of our squad? I don't know and perhaps Bristol Cities squad is worth no more than a packet of out of date Nobby''s nuts but are we all getting angry when in fact bottom is not far off our players net worth. |
 | Forum Thread | Positive thread alert: Posters you appreciate at 08:45 9 Nov 2024
Starting the long journey to the European capital of football and wanted a positive thread to keep the spirits up. For me discodroid always entertains. Fantastic way with words. Dorse always good value. Hunter for his certainty and not sure who it was but there was a poster who described what must have been epic QPR fictional battles of the 70''s and 80's. Your thoughts? |
 | Forum Thread | The beefiest ever QPR player at 06:44 12 Oct 2024
Who is the most Beefy player you have seen play for us? I mean broad shouldered barrel chested. I'm not thinking Alan Mcdonald as too tall or Sammy Lee as too small but I am thinking Robbie James. Anyone else out there to challenge this prime Welsh beef? |
 | Forum Thread | Who was a better player? Michael Meaker or Tony Scully at 07:24 29 Jul 2023
The times they are a changing. Give me these two legends above Cesar and Bosingwa. We are heading back to the bargain basement and I much prefer this. Limited but interesting players. Anyway it is the grim Meaker for me. Primarily due to his outstanding performance away at Highbury when he transformed into Ginola and ripped them to shreds. Mind you Scully's volley away to Oxford in a humiliating defeat was something special. But Meaker for ne. Would welcome your thoughts. |

Just back. Have had a good 4 and a bit hours on the M6 M40 to process this. Firstly, fair play to Fleetwood.. got there early, friendly stewards, shared friendly bar and quality stewarding during the game. Really that is where the positives end up. I think we and I can be guilty of projecting our own feelings sometimes and expecting the players to show maybe a grain of loyalty and desire to play for the club. Maybe this is gone in modern football but yet I see it in other players. Luton players. Fleetwood players. Not in our players. Who exactly. Really wanted to be out there today playing for QPR. Dickie? Dunne? Field? Kakay? Dieng? Who else if even these guys did? I think Northern used to call Jenas the friendly ghost well Dozell played the part to perfection today. Who was consistently everywhere where the ball was not. Grab the game by the scruff if the neck for gods sake. Run into the box. Anything. Not all his fault but today felt like a real line in the sand. The majority of this squad will have to be moved on by Critchley if we want to move on as a club. It is rotten to the core. I don't know why. There are not enough players who care. What worries me us who is looking into the integrity of these players before signing them on loan or otherwise. Where is the hunger? Where is the desire? I actually really don't care if we are a mid table championship side as it reflects our reality but I do care that they don't seem to care. I am ranting now and beed to further tuck into my Mt Gay rum so will leave it there. |

What an unbelievable difference. The first half was incredible. Every first ball, every second ball and all the balls in between. Played quicker, plated braver, played with spirit. A complete transformation. Sheffield United looked ordinary. So good to see. Pride is vack in this team. Sure, the last minute goal is a gutter but I think this is bigger than that. Many; including myself were predicting a really tough remainder of the season. This shows what can ve done. Great credit to all involved. The nanager the players the fans. Ok I may be getting carried away but this felt like a completely different team. Great to see. |

Completely lacking from start to finish. Luton were quicker, more decisive and made better decisions throughout. I watched their subs warming up at half time and they played high intensity possession games throughout. I looked over to our half and nothing. A few keepy ups and the odd flick. No wonder Wilock looked undercooked when he came on. Something does seem amiss. Also, very disappointed to see Tim shackled to a deep lying defensive role. He is a game breaker and we need him higher up the pitch. He looked totally disinterested today. No excuse for that but when you lack attacking options it is a waste playing him there. I was very willing to lambast Tyler Roberts today as I have not liked his body language anytime I have seen him play but he played well today. Never thought I would say that |

There is nothing better than seeing a player beat a player with skill /trickery/pace. In my supporting lifetime I cannot remember us having so many players who can do this in one team and it is lovely to watch. Chair, Eze, BOS and Kane with pace. Can anyone recall a team that had so many players able to do this? I started supporting iin the 80's so would like to hear from some older R's who may recall similar. |

Very, very dissapointing but I would be interested to see their wage bill in comparison to ours. Pontus Jansen signed from the mighty Leeds. How much would he be on. Does anyone know if it is a big difference? |
