QPR v Bristol City match thread 09:44 - Dec 12 with 35948 viewsWilkinswatercarrier

Is three in a row possible?

Will the Archibald Leach eleven fold in front of a resurgent Rangers? Will we continue to see Kolli-flower? Does Marti Cifuentes get better looking every time QPR wins?

The Ancient Astronaut theorists say,'YES'! Again!!

A difficult game away, but we are tough to break down. I'm going for a grinding 1-0 win (though a point would be fantastic).

You are having as much of a dramatic influence Wilkins as the great man himself.

I think though this could be where our mini unbeaten run comes to an end. A battling performance but I think a 1- 0 defeat for me. Be delighted with a draw myself against Rangers old boys.

Nakhi Wells, Rob Dickie and Sinclair Armstrong watch out gentlemen.

Am I right in saying weโ€™re on for 5 wins at Ashton Gate in a row? And that this sorcery might be some sort of club record ?

B@llocks, cursed it now

I thought we were pretty poor last night. Really poor, in fact.

No idea what Bristol City are like, but if they were watching they won't have been scared.

For sure, we can't play like that in the first half and expect to always get away with it.

We have to take the game to Brizzle and really go for it. They are eminently get-attable and beatable.

I'm backing us to win 2-1 (Armstrong red card/o.g., Chair).

I agree we were pony last night but improved enough to beat a poor Oxford side. At the moment, theyโ€™re the teams we need to be beating .
That was a six pointer last night . We prevailed.
Iโ€™m off to the Bristol game , now with a spring in my step .
Will take a point .

Any recommendations on pre-match pub - ideally en route from city centre to ground?

The Pump House is a pretty good if basic pub about 15 mins walk from the ground. Nice location on the waterfront and usually quite a few Rangers stop there. Says it opens 11.30am on their website so have to be quick.

Commercial rooms spoons in town is open earlier of course.

We were shocking Brian, the worst I have ever seen, first half. The we upped the tempo for a few minutes, scored a very nicely manufactured goal and immediately reverted back to being poor. A piece of individual persistence by the Japanese lad, Lloyd listening to Field telling him to 'leave it' and a smooth finish with his weaker foot by Field, put the game out of their reach. Then back to being poor again. If we played like that v Norwich/Watford we would have been comfortably beaten. If we played like we did against Watford /Norwich, we could have scored six last night. The lack of consistency with much the same personnel is baffling.
The most gratifying thing is that we have beaten two of our relegation rivals while playing poorly - that didn't happen earlier in the season and goes down to Marti's pragmatism which Clive mentioned in the pre-view. It ain't pretty, but we are edging our way out of trouble.

Bristol Beer Factory taproom very good, not quite on walk to ground but only 4-5 mins from away end. Open at 10 apparently

I have to collect tickets at the ticket office. Do you know if that's an option outside the away end or if I have to ge to the main ticket office?

Not entirely sureโ€ฆhave tried to navigate their website but nothing I can see about ticket office. Worth calling our ticket office, failing that call Bristol Cityโ€™s ticketing team

EDIT: found on a Cardiff site, apparently you can pick up from away turnstiles

Thanks for the help. That sounds good. Will try that.

Tried myself but all I found was "Fan Village โ€“ located next to the ticket office" but no idea where either is...

The Fan Village is down the opposite end of the ground to the away endโ€ฆitโ€™s actually quite good, set up a bit like a festival site with pop up food and beer places
Away end has the mighty Guinness concession though, so all is good in the world!

Yes remember getting our tickets from the Guinness bar and was only away fans at this bar.

Think we have won there last two seasons and put in excellent performances so here's hoping for a treble. Chair got the winner last year.
