OK. We can argue back and fore about your Coldplays, your Ed Sheerans and your Taylor Swifts. But what about the lesser known stuff? Who is your favourite artist who almost nobody else has ever heard of?

This evening I am mostly into Wardruna. If you've ever watched Vikings you'll probably have heard their stuff. They're like the Norwegian Sigur Ros. If you like your tunes built around Norse myths and performed on traditional instruments then these guys may be for you.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Yat-Kha for me at the moment. From Tuva in Russia…picked up on them as Apple used one of their songs for the IPhone advert.
My wife says they’re an acquired taste….as she switched the lights off and left the room.
I’m also playing a lot of Leonard Cohen after watching the Watchmen film.

Wakey Wakey. Have a listen to their album, Almost Everything I Wish I'd Said the Last Time I Saw You. Not everyone's cup of tea but I like it.

I draw the line at Leonard Cohen.

A bit like Bob Dylan. A great songwriter but crap performer.

By a distance almost measurable in light years, the most popular Leonard Cohen song was not performed by Leonard Cohen. That should make it obvious.

Now,you’re talking matey.
Buckley’ breath at the end is ghostly great.
John Cale does an even greater version.
For you …
Cohen wrote it on key of C ,Cale in G . It’s easy to play ,sign of a great melody
