Interesting chat yesterday 10:43 - May 23 with 919 views | KeithHaynes | Something like 20% of injuries detected by clubs aren’t even known by the player. Once detected they are then deemed injured. It’s an insurance thing primarily. Me and my mate here were just talking about that. Remember the likes Derek Dougan ? Bowles, even going back to the early days of the club after Petty was shown the door, players just played on and wouldn’t have a clue regards what injuries they didn’t know about. 😂 Times change.

I would have thought it’s the clubs forcing players to come off with every niggle.

He played through the pain barrier nearly seven hundred pro games. A real proper striker with no fear.

Derek Dougan terrified our defence when we played Peterborough in the FA Cup in 1965. We drew 0-0 away and they became "Giant Killers" when they beat us down the Vetch in the replay 2-0. If I remember correctly - Dougan shaved his head for the replay.
| Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎 |

An old school Marvin Hagler. Shave your head, two days growth and rub it in to your opponents skin. Ask Alan Minter 👍 Well, if you could.
