The real problem? 18:54 - Oct 7 with 13432 viewspaulhoop2

Personally I feel there are a few players that should really step up and perform. Very easy to blame managers and coaches. People say he should go but I really can’t see who would make us any better? As for wanting the owners out careful what you wish for that really could see the end of the road.

Poll: Now it’s slightly clearer cut who do you want as manager ?

The players, the manager the board. Club's fked. Right in the gob.

Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

I always remember the home game before Warnock and then the first home game with Warnock.
Against Ipswich players laughing and joking in the pre-match warm up. Could have easily been 4 down at half-time.
Against WBA in the pre-match warm up Keith Curle standing, arms folded, watching them. Result speaks for itself.
Get the right man and it can make a big difference even with the same players.
I did think Ainsworth was that man but something has to change quickly.

It’s less about someone making us better, we simply can’t get any worse. We’ve nothing to lose now, there’s always a chance a new manager could do something, slim as it is. I have seen - and worried about when we appointed him - absolutely no evidence Ainsworth can turn this around.

These owners are taking us to oblivion. At what stage do you draw the line? It’s been death by a thousand cuts for years now. A new owner could hasten the demise or reverse it. We would have a chance we don’t under this lot.

What’s the conclusion on the big departmental review, Amit? Just more hot air.

Certain players need to be held accountable but when GA drops such players ie Willock he gets slaughtered when in reality he sees him in trading every day so knows his mindset. I personally think Chair is tossing it off weekly yet gets a free run by most on here. I’m sorry but he’s far from our best player. Most technically gifted yes but best player nowhere near right now. I’ve been scathing of Armstrongs lack of in game knowledge but I’d take him over chair all day long right now cos it hurts him. Chair just hides behind his hand moaning to his best mate Willock. No surprise those two are besties. Their attitudes are shite. I feel for GA but results are inevitably going to be on him. Funny really as if you win games it’s mostly how amazing the players are yet when you are in the shite it’s mostly how poor a manager is.

Out of interest who are you thinking of? Those tactics did nothing for anyone. We managed to simultaneously give them oceans of space wide while having no control of the middle. We had a midfield both miles from the strikers and a defence with no midfield cover. Strikers with no service yet huge gaps defensively.

Yes they are. The owners are the real problem.

I also agree with this. No time for Chair at all. Shame we couldn't have got rid of him and Willock for a few quid in the Summer. The fact that we didn't says more about them than us.....

Welcome to how the midfield looks without Field. Full of more holes than a Swiss cheese. Agree about Chair. Invariably takes the wrong option; never ever plays in Paal on the overlap ( soon he won’t bother making the runs) ; shoots from too far out usually straight at the keeper. And let’s not talk about dead balls . The free kick into the school end on 45 minutes was pure pub football.

Are people really going in on Chair? Really? The guy who never hides, hardly ever misses a game, tries to drag this team through games single-handedly like a semi pro playing Sunday league with a load of fat blokes who were on the gear the night before.

The real problem was that in defence we had an inexperienced left back playing his full debut at right back next to a centre back pairing who have played about 4 games between them this season. The fact we had no width and no attacking threat through the middle doesn't really come into it.

Come on. The guy has presided over the worst home record in the last 70 years. He was a favourite of mine as a player but he was a mistake of an apportionment at the time. Most people could see it. We’d spent the last 4 years trying to build an identity as a team that values possession and places emphasis on ball retention. We brought in a Manager that was the total opposite to what we’d set ourselves up to be - a cluster fck of an appointment and shows a total lack of footballing logic from the people that employed him.

Yes fair enough W12 and a bit harsh to dig out Chair but we’ve all played in teams where there’s a bloke who thinks he’s too good for the team. Since the World Cup he has given off that vibe. Not the same player since then and expectations of him are higher because he has ability to do better.

Is Chair above criticism then?
He’s not the main problem but he’s created very little this season and his goalscoring has stopped.
Today was a typical recent Chair performance: terrible set pieces, not looking up when he could cross, poor shooting. He’s no better than most of his teammates.

I'm minded back again to Beale a year ago at the Fans Forum saying he knew of Chair beforehand, but wasn't sure he was a player you could win with.

It's interesting that in a summer we were desperate to sell anyone that no-one came in for him, anywhere.

Don't get me wrong, I like Ilias, I think he's gone massively backwards so far this year (like everyone...) but I do wonder what other clubs think/know that we don't.

The real problem mate is a manager whose tactical nous is akin to a dad running an Under 11s team. Who would make us better? Are you joking??

I agree with you regards the owners

I normally completely agree with the supportive Chair comments but he had the right hump today for most of it.

Did not like that whatever-the-fcuk wide left position he was in. After the 3rd goal he seemed to make a point of walking slowly across the pitch and standing on the left touchline by the dugout. I was sure he was going off.

He did wake up after the game was long gone.

I do wonder sometimes If there are inherent problems/Issues betweeen Ainsworth, Dobson and the so called professional players we have representing us and the club?

Maybe I'm looking into It too deeply?

I wish I had the answer

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

I know we always have a flavour of the month of who to hate à la Evil Les but I'm still amazed at our fans recently digging out Chair who's been pretty much the only one who never shies away and turns up for every single match. Of course he's not exempt from criticism when he has a bad game but FFS lads there are a great number of players we can point the finger at ahead of Ilias

QPR - "shit but local"

As I said on another thread, look at their number 10 today, a proper 10s position. Similar player, just played where he could do most damage, dropping back, giving it, on his bike, getting it back in dangerous forward positions. Creating etc.
Our no 10 stuck out wide, wasted.

It's being so happy that keeps me going.

Don’t forget the last coaching set up said chair had a very negative attitude. I don’t think it helps with poor attitudes round the squad as has been said do wonder if there are issues within that we don’t get told about with Ainsworth and the players. I also want to moan anoint begovic having the captains job keepers should never be it due to not being able to influence the match give it to cook or colback

Poll: Now it’s slightly clearer cut who do you want as manager ?
