Good Friday IS the most important day in the Christian calendar and is a day of mourning.
In my childhood pubs had to adhere to Sunday opening hours, shops were all closed & football was the only form of entertainment (apart from television).
I come from a very Christain family, but also a football loving family, so I was brought up to go to Church very early in the morning & then to go to as many games as I could!
Like Stowmarket, I'm looking forward to the luxury of our train going to Liverpool Street. A rare occurance on football days in 2023! |

I'm actually taking advantage of the Easter break to come for the first game of the season (traveling from Spain, where I live).
Despite how rubbish we've been -I've unfortunately watched pretty much every game this season- I'm actually really looking forward to being back at the Loft.

Such a dilemma, I was on hols for the Watford game, coming straight from Heathrow to watch Brum. So the Jonah in me says not to go because ( of course) it is partially my fault. What do I do? If I don’t go and a miracle happens Friday ? I am a responsible banker so sensibly this all doesn’t make sense but ……. Maybe watch the 1st 45 mins and then do a risk assessment?
