Struggling with motivation 13:32 - Oct 25 with 3052 viewsthrillseeker

I only live one mile from the ground but I am struggling with motivation to attend tonights match at £24 per ticket when I can stay at home in the warm and watch match for £10.

What would you do?

Attend match out of habit, no longer excitement, listen to the fans negativity, get cold, £24 on a ticket and spend on additional items, maybe a beer on way, cup of tea once in ground etc

OR

Stay at home in warm, save £14 + in money, watch match knowing if it is rubbish/ not entertaining I could watch other matches on TV or even just watch the scores come in on BBC website whilst doing something else.

Really struggling with my decision making today - HELP

Hope Conroy is ok.

Good start from the U's

Big John needed to head that cross from Junior.

Akinde is too awkward and despite his size doesn't win enough in the air.

Still I'm not going to moan on too much.

We are short on confidence and conceding a soft goal hasn't helped.

I want to see Chilvers on second half together with Big Frank.

Mountain to climb to get one point let alone two
Bloomfield out. No idea how to set a side up and win at this level.

TS what did you decide to do in the end.
Watch at home or go to the stadium.

We deserve three points against a side that usually has the Indian sign over us.

Much more fight commitment and passion tonight.

Every point counts.

Just another 38 required for safety.

Now three points against Stevenage would be great.

Be some result if that happens but sadly think we will be beaten.

I had decided to attend match before Burnsie's message

I had real concerns with our starting XI and in all honesty I am still not sure of what formation we were playing.

A strange game in which for 30-35 minutes of the 90 we were in control, Crawley were in control for about 25-30 minutes with the rest an equal split.

I wish we had a number 9 like theirs.

Overall I think we probably just about deserved a victory but alas missed chances have again cost us.

I hate to dig out players but what did Judge do apart from create their equaliser. I was very disappointed with his overall performance.

I think Skuse's legs have gone but we lost our shape when he went off. His experience and chat must be a guiding influence.

Akinde did some good work chasing lost causes etc but I was disappointed he hardly won an aerial challenge. He missed some good chances

It was nice to see us not messing around at the back when it was our goal kicks.

Cracking goals by Newby & Tchamadeau and to be fair their equaliser was very well taken although really we gifted it to them.

What was the injury to their number 3? Was it dislocated shoulder or broken arm?

Surprised there was in excess of 2900 in attendance and even more surprised Crawley had around 200 - 250. I cannot ever recall them bringing that many on a Saturday.

Roll on Saturday against an in form Stevenage

One of the most encouraging things last night was the manager making players sign autographs for all the kids at the end of the game. I noticed that he mentioned it on BBC essex and welcome this approach- better than McGreal at Grimsby when he never even stepped towards us.

I sit in E7 with my children and little things like this make it much more an occasion for them.

After all they are future fan of the club
