Newcastle away October 1993.

1,800 Rfosi if memory serves. Whatever the number, we took a large and loud mob for a belting away day.

The Bircham at Stoke game is a good shout.

I remember a win away at Bradford in the late 90s - I think we won 0-3 and it was freezing but the away turnout was amazing - there were two small tiers and it was rocking.

Ipswich away early 90's, the one where Devon White scored in a 1-1 draw.

Midweek, and there must have been a good couple of thousand of us in the town by mid afternoon.

Remember speaking to one of the met old bill. QPR had told Ipswich to expect 1000 to 1500 of us.

Well over 3000 turned up, and they had to move home fans out of their seats

I remember this as well - wasn’t Roger Mullet Milford the ref and got untold abuse throughout? Brilliant night, we used to bring random hordes a far bit back then

The game against Fulham when we first went up and lost 6—0. The only R that left the ground early was Taarabt but the rest of us stayed and sung until the end and applauded the team off. Neil Warnock always referred to that match in terms of the support.

And who can forget the support given away at the Filth just after New Year 2013. Twenty minutes of “Ashley Cole, you’re John Terry’s bitch”. And walking back down the Kings Road afterwards. Rangers everywhere.

Actually the turnout for Fulham in 99 was massive , we took over everywhere
I’ve never seen so many Rangers take over an away ground like that

yeah, well oiled I wandered in the home end as there were massive queues at the one turnstile they had seemingly opened for us. steward stopped me going for a piss at half time - "I can't stop you sitting here, but I won't let you go in there"! Luckily a copper overheard, berated the idiot steward before it got over-heated and asked if i wanted to be escorted into the away end, which I duly was.
Same game I believe, Joe Young told me he was giving out and a copper asked if he could help, and sort out who had upset him. He pointed out Tony Roberts, who had let one slip through his legs

16th September 2003 and we won 2-0.I only remember it so well because it was my birthday and we’d moved to suffolk the day before.I went to our village pub to celebrate our win, only to find out that I just made last orders.
I know Rowlands got 1 goal,but I can’t remember who got the 2nd.

That Northampton one was dumb. Unreserved tickets and loads turned up on the night. I remember being walked round the pitch with my Dad while the game had already kicked off!

Chesterfield Dec 2001.
First time there for 90% of those present I'd wager.
Dull first half, manic second.
They go one up from a pen, we then get 3 in 7 mins, they get one back, Big Dan sent off, we hold on for the last 10.
Filled both seats & terracing.

That's right. It was a great night.
We were upstairs behind the goal where Rowlands got the late winner.

Some other away trips I can particularly remember some great away support...

Blackpool away, Langley hat-trick ("we're not going home")

Everton, first away game back in the Premier League, Tommy Smith scored.

Spurs away, mid-90s. Sinclair scored and Sheringham equalised straight away. Then Sinclair got the winner right at the end. It was the last game of the season and we had nothing to play for but even so the away end went nuts.

Another last game of the season away at Pompey in the blazing sunshine. Gallen & Langley scored great goals, Gallen's last game of his 1st spell with us. Even Sammy Koejoe scored.

Plymouth away in the season we got to League 1 playoffs, 1-0 Richard Pacquette scored.

Walsall away in Gerry's 2nd spell with us, 2-0 down, we won 3-2 Kiwomya got the winner.

Grimsby away, Eric Sabin's only goal

Villa away League Cup, Damion Stewart header

Yes, they are two that stick in my mind. I think it was because it was Fulham for the first time in years that we had to brave it out. Shame we couldn't keep it up for a few months later at Milton Keynes in the cup.

The support at the Chelsea one that night was immense with Adel's false 9 masterclass, especially as we had lost 6-1 the previous year.

I went up on the LSA coaches with my brothers and I remember the police holding us for a while in the car park but once we did start home we were given a, possibly illegal high speed, motorcycle escort all the way to the A1 It was indeed a noisy away following that day.

The grass is always greener.
