People are what they vote. If people choose to vote Labour then they are Labour. If they choose to vote for or support Tory policies then they are Tories. People cannot say one thing then do another as many on here do. At least OHG is honest and I respect him for that. There has been an anti Drakeford agenda amongst many of you and you have admitted to that yourself.
What isnt in doubt is that daily except for a very short period Drakeford has got more right than Johnson. The Welsh figures are lower every day than England. This is because of the way Drakeford and co have handled it. Even yesterday Wales had 60 new cases which is the equivalent to the UK having 1200. Yesterday the UK had over 4000 new cases over 3 times the Welsh rate. You dont look at that because it doesnt fit with your anti Drakeford agenda just like Scotia and others.
As far as things like pubs and gyms re opening the figures clearly show that up until pubs reopened in August cases were continuing to drop. Gyms opened a week later. Prior to that we had opened schools, non essential shops, tourist attractions, hairdressers etc and the figures dropped.
On 12 August 9 days after pubs opened so before any effect took place the figures were at their lowest with 8 cases in a day. 2 weeks later when the effect of opening pubs and subsequently gyms had taken effect it had raised 4 fold to 34 and escalated further. That isnt myth. It is a fact.
As far as gyms are concerned my son used to go to a cross fit gym in Cornwall in one of the lowest areas for covid in the country. He had a facebook message showing 3 of his old gym colleagues had covid. This is just 1 example from one of the lowest covid areas.
The people who are calling for gyms and pubs to be opened here are the same people who called for it last year which ultimately led to us going into lockdown. | | | |

It's not some sort of morbid Wales v England competition.
The sole reason we are in a better position now is because the Kent variant was not dominant before we were in lockdown, Drakeford lucked out there as we had already reached the point of having the highest level of infection in the world with the original variant.
Some people won't recover from poverty, and keeping business closed is keeping some of the poorest people in poverty.

He is right it will be similar to flu. The deaths in under 50s are largely similar to those having flu. Having an annual vaccination like the flu vaccine will cut down cases and deaths. It has been the lack of having a vaccine ready that has caused so many. The Welsh death rate shows

80-89 38.6%
70-79 26.7%
60-69 11.6%
50-59 3.5%
