My gut feeling is that he won’t, he will go by what his advisors and PHW recommend as opposed to a populist gesture. The numbers are low, but we are still having outbreaks and I read earlier of a incidents linked to kids having sleep overs - some people are thick as mince. I think Boris is more inclined to take risks while Drakeford is more cautious. A lot of people have died and a lot more have been unwell, I can’t see him really caring about a game of football. | | | |

Sadly, I suspect your gut feeling is probably correct, although the lockdown floodgates are already well and truly open now, I would also think that before Drakeford makes any sensible decision about allowing football fans back into stadiums, he'd wait for any data gathered from the Liverpool concert experiment.
Although, I have my doubts if Drakeford is capable of making any sensible or decisive decision, his mantra seems to be, do everything later than Boris, caution, caution and more caution, a lot of people are fed up with his dithering.

I agree with you about being behind Boris, but that may not be a bad thing if there is substance to the “bodies pile high” comments. The lockdown floodgates are open and I for one would like to see fans being allowed back in to stadiums if suitable precautions can be implemented. | | | |
