The red card debate 14:26 - Oct 26 with 2331 views | Saintsforeverj | I was amazed to hear pundits on sky and MOTD saying that the tackle on Walker-Peters yesterday wasn't a red card. Have they gone mad or am I? Walker-Peters leg was about to break, when you watch in slow motion. He was studded in the ankle from behind and was chased. Digne looked angry to me and was chasing him and studded him on purpose ( maybe to bring him down, rather than hurt him) . Surely that was a serioulsy dangerous tackle and was a red card. He could have broken his leg. [Post edited 26 Oct 2020 14:30]

The red card debate on 14:48 - Oct 26 with 2291 views | Sadoldgit | He had his hands up in an innocent gesture before he made contact which was a bit of a give away. He had kicked him once and fair play to Kyle, he kept going but you could tell he was looking for contact and left his foot there. As someone else said, it looks like he is skateboarding on the back of KWP’s leg! [Post edited 26 Oct 2020 14:52]

Exactly, I thought it was a dreadful career ending tackle. Definite red card. Very true that he kicked him once, didn't work so he chased him again. Totally deliberate. Can't believe the debate that it might not have been. [Post edited 26 Oct 2020 15:16]

The red card debate on 15:15 - Oct 26 with 2263 views | kingslandstand1 | What's even more incredulous is that Everton have said they are going to appeal! Hopefully the 3 game ban will be taken rescinded ........................ and changed to a 5 game ban for wasting the panel's time! Isn't there something about ridiculous appeals?
The red card debate on 15:46 - Oct 26 with 2220 views | Sadoldgit | I agree. When I first saw it I thought it was just a clumsy challenge but the more I see it the worse it gets. I hope he doesn’t get away with it.
The red card debate on 16:09 - Oct 26 with 2192 views | cocklebreath | I’m also confused, to he it looked a bad tackle and after the replay looked worse, weird behaviour from the pundits

2 ex-Everton pundits on Match of the Day. Totally biased and very unprofessional comments
The red card debate on 16:37 - Oct 26 with 2167 views | dirk_doone | On Sky Sports News they did a referees' review with Dermot Gallagher and they all agreed it was a 100% definite red card.

The red card debate on 16:56 - Oct 26 with 2145 views | Berber | Whether he meant to stand on the back of his ankle is besides the point. He didn't need to run into the back of KWP. But there is no denying that he had already had a kick at him as he accelerated away in the first place. Similar degree of guilt or not as when Djenepo and Bertrand got sent off last season IMHO

He is a player, like Zaha, everyone knows can lose control of his emotions very easily. Ward-Prowse had a bit of a niggle at him and that seemed to trigger it all off. Digne was like a bull in a china shop after that.
