... did anyone else on here go to the 50th Anniversary fireworks display on the beach? Seem to be a good few thousand down there and the display was superb (even after a 25 minute pause due to a malfunction). Hope they figure a way to charge a minimal amount and put them on down there every year from now on.
I must say though I was surprised by the amount of people bringing their dogs though

A mate went and said that the reason for the “technical glitch” was because they were planning on setting the fireworks off from a barge in the bay, only problem, they forgot to check the tide times, the bloody tide was out so they had to move the fireworks to the beach.
Swansea council, laughing stock

I love it when they spend my council tax burning fireworks!
Well ok a planning hitch but it was quite impressive. I bet there’s far more scope for money making with crowds as large as those on the beach compared to St Helens. I hope they do it again

That’s ridiculous, the further out the tide the better as more people get on the sand that way. If they have the pontoons designed properly it should be ok
