I can't help but notice that over the past few weeks our stewards have come under some critism for the way they have responded to certain issues at home games.
The issues I have with stewards is;
1. They are different every week, meaning they don't know what they are doing. 2. They look like they have been dragged off the streets. (Doncaster Stewards all had Shirt Tie and Suit Jackets with a Hi Vis Vest) if you look and feel the part they may act the part and be respected a little more 3. Scared to throw anybody out.
Anybody else feel that they need smartening up a bit.
They are there for the supporters safety not just to make up the numbers.
There was an off duty steward who must have helped out before the game sat near me on Saturday and asked one of the stewards if they needed assistance and mentioned that he had offered to stay on and work during the match to be told he wasn't required. I'm sure if they had half as many stewards again than against Bradford they would still be a few short.
