I've been reading the same complaints on here for several years it must be awful for those close to the offending speakers? In spite of the trust involvement the club appear to be turning a deaf ear, is it as bad as has been mentioned? if so is it a case of health and safety? There is legislation in place that covers safe noise levels in the work place I'm not sure if the same legislation applies to a public place such as the crown arena but the Crown arena is also a work place there must be a couple of hundred people employed there on any match day stewards etc. Maybe given the reticence to address the problem a call to the appropriate authority would be in order.

If this was in the workplace, it would be sorted in no time when people complained.

Presumably this review process is in place to try and ensure supporters are not adversely affected going forward, so with that in mind it's difficult to work out why there are obviously still issues. The recent home game where the speakers in the Sandy suddenly stopped working was actually welcomed by some as, for some reason, the noise levels are pretty unbearable again. Also, can anyone in the Pearl Street confirm that the sound level is "much improved"? If so, that's a start.

Not noticed any change at the Pearl Street end, tbh. Perhaps it’s a case of just turning the volume control anti-clockwise and not shouting as though it’s the Feel Good Festival.

I was in the Pearl Street stand for the match V Walsall..if that's" improved"..then god help us..its impossible to have a conversation with someone at 2 feet without having to shout over the mindless racket blasting from the speakers. Ive emailed the powers that be at Rochdale over 2 weeks ago..Gina acknowledged the email and stated that it would be passed on to the relevant dept..no response since.. Surely to god it cant be hard to turn the volume down...

We could turn up en masse wearing noise cancelling ear protectors, those bright yellow ones so the directors get a good view of them.....Even better why not start stocking blue and white ones with a Dale logo on each lug hole in the club shop, couple of quid each and make some pennies out of it at the same time....The sound in the Sandy is bloody ridiculously loud.....

They won’t need to spot any such protests as you’d think that any comprehensive investigation into concerns from supporters on this (which have, as acknowledged, been consistent for a number of years) would mean that they are monitoring both the sound levels on a consistent basis, whilst also asking fans for their opinions at regular intervals as they go around the ground.

I know. How dare you share rumours and inside information on a football forum.
New Ground Staff on 19:08 - Sep 11 with 5191 views | dawlishdale | The noise levels are ridiculous and way too high in all stands. So far this season; they are as loud (if not louder) than last season. Add to this, the constant need of the announcer to shout, and it is impossible to converse with neighbouring fans. There is a very very easy solution: Move a speaker into the Board Room. Just one...so that the Board members sample the torture that ordinary supporters face. They'd be rushing outside to throttle Sweetmore in an instant if that was the case. It's obvious that either the sound checks are not being done correctly, or that someone (and I think I can guess who) is altering the volumes after the soundcheck has been carried out.

There would be no point in doing that. The fans wouldn't be able to hear the questions being asked and they certainly wouldn't be able to hear any answers!

I honestly don't give a fook pal but as the club aren't really forthright with any breaking news, you're our only source of information. Any sex scandals on the horizon? Are those new hotdog fingers being filled with more than one new type of sausage or out?
New Ground Staff on 14:59 - Sep 15 with 4390 views | 442Dale | The speakers are still not working in the Sandy, three weeks since they blew. There’s no complaints for the ability to converse without wondering if this is what it’s like during a busy period on a aircraft carrier, but it illustrates how important it is to sort... At least it’s working for the away fans to offer their congratulations.

No sex scandal but the lad who came from Oldham 6 weeks ago as deputy groundsman has jumped ship and is going back there.
