All this talk of halal meat not being labeled as such.
What are your thoughts on the subject, personally I think it's f*cking disgusting, the thought of some religious guy chanting to Allah before slitting the throat of an animal I will be eating doesn't seem right to me.
Bloody hell this country is being dragged back into the dark ages, why do we not just ban this inhuman ritualistic slaughtering like many other European countries have done ? Companies like Pizza Express and the like are a f*cking disgrace.
At least those companies have come out and admitted that the meat they serve is halal, which gives me the choice of never ever eating there, unfortunately many other companies choose not to disclose the fact that their meat is halal, taking away my right of choice.

A similar thing happened to me a few weeks ago when "I" kept randomly bumping a stormy weather thread from February despite me not actually doing it. I deleted loads of my own posts that I didn't make. So it's a site problem. | |

I'm guessing but I expect prawns could well be dead by the time they get them to shore. IIRC Jews don't touch fish that's been handled by the butcher. When I say Jew I mean the orthodox variety with the hat and ringlets. |  |

To my knowledge I believe prawns are boiled to kill of the bacteria at the same time as the fish (and in a similar manner to lobster?). Fish on the other hand are obviously killed through blunt force trauma to the head, or head is cut off.
And in terms of the phantom posts, I've noticed this first hand too on a couple I've done (but haven't - if you know what I mean). They appear with the description "(No subject) (n/t)" instead of the topic being responded to. It is a forum technical issue. |  |
