Thread | Main stand reserved seating

Are the club trying to drive paying fans away? I have sat in the same seats for nearly 20 years with my late dad at my side! In his memory I still sit there at all home games! I know everyone who sits around me and many are friends. The club is now saying I must buy a ticket and sit where they tell me. I have supported the Dale through thick and thin ,ups and downs, played for the youth and reserve teams and raised money for them. This to me personally is a kick in the teeth. Does anyone else feel this way,?? |

Bill Kenyon former club secretary at RochdaleAFC passed away today peacefully. Bill looked after the club for a long time. He will be sadly missed by all his old colleagues,friends and relatives.
Our thoughts go out to his wife Barbara and their family
i hope the club show a tribute to this true gent

I am sorry to say this after watching him and giving him the benefit of doubt for 2 seasons but George is not good enough for the standard of football he is playing at. He is not a goalscorer at all. Yes his work rate is good but he does not score enough goals at this level.
when Scott is injured we need a player to score goals and this is neither George or Cummings! Bunney is a promising player but too much burden on such young shoulders.
Yes we should have brought another goal scorer in but we haven't so try Lunddy up front!
Keith I trust you impeccably but be trustful in your players and tell them to do it for you and your belief. |

It is with sadness that loyal Rochdale fan Frank Kershaw died on Monday with his family around him.
Frank was up till this season a regular in his seat with me in the main stand. Frank used to sit amongst the Players families and recently sat near to Keith Hills mum who he became friends with.
Frank was a butcher in Wardle village and ran several youth football teams, Churchill St and Cook St Pallets before retiring.
Frank was known in the main stand for handing out his "Werthers" to all that sat round him.
He leaves behind a lot of good memories and leaves his dear wife Joan, and daughters Janet and Debbie and son Nick.
his best dale moment was when dale had got to Wembley he said " I am not going , I will go next time they get there!!" He went and loved the game.
A Dale fan and critic, He will be missed by many.

sorry people but time has come to get rid of Coleman and Bell. crowds are diminishing quickly and the board must take note of this!! I am not saying bring Hillcroft back as sometimes it never works second time round ( Parkin), but please Mr dunphy and co listen to the fans now and get rid of the clown!!!!
the team is now an Accrington ex 11 and is going no where!! many people on GMR agree with this and this post may have many positive and negative comments for Coleman but the guy has no guts and no passion for Dale!!!
his tactical knowledge make Barrow look good!!
Please Mr Dunphy and co if you love the club as much as you say get rid NOW!!!!!!!!!! |

with the loss of COG who i wish all the best to, we need some strikers and proven goal scorers ASAP!! so far we are lacking that killer instinct in front of goal and i think we need at least 2 proven goalscorers or some fast talent up front. there are these type of players out there and maybe we can rescue another COG. anyone any ideas who we could sign to get some goals? |

Bury Council official John Smithington has released the following statement regarding the decision to pull out of future sponsorship of Bury Football Club.
“Whilst the council and the people of Bury can be pleased with the clubs form this season, the failure to gain promotion over the last few years, coupled with Alan Knill’s abrasive attitude towards the press and fans, has resulted in this decision. In addition to this, star players such as Bishop, Picken and Lowe were recently involved in a violent incident in the town centre with an elderly gentleman. There has also been rumblings in the press that on-loan striker Nicky Ajose attacked a goose that landed at the clubs training ground.”

thought us getting promotion would mean recruiting new exciting players to go with some of the experienced players who gained promotion last season and bulid for the future. i trust and support hilly and flickers beyond belief but are the board fully behind them??? we need to offer the management more support and give them to recruit and keep players that they need not just to stay in lge1 but to consoldate a good position and build again for the next season. I am so dismayed about players leaving and no one coming ini am thinking of going back to the club with my season ticket and asking for not only my money back but asking under the sale of goods act getting it back for the other 3 season tickets that my family purchased. we are not witnessing any support whatsoever in the management by the board not giving them the support and backing they need. unless by 1 st August i see some positive direction I wil after speaking to my solicitor be getting a refund on my season ticket very unfortuanatley.
