Luton Town v Swansea City Kenilworth David Pleat Stadium Kick off 3pm
Match Officials Whose Tony is that jacket ? Tony Harrington ( whose coat ) will be the referee for Swansea City’s Championship clash against Luton Town on Saturday (3pm). The Cleveland official took charge of the Swans five times last season, he oversaw wins over Nottingham Forest and Rotherham, as well as the away leg against Barnsley in the play-offs, plus defeats against Huddersfield and Birmingham. Jacket will be assisted by Mark Scholes and Craig Taylor, while Darren Drysdale is the fourth official. Mark is related to Paul Scholes, possibly.
New Covid rules mean you can’t slowly drive your car near the ground or talk to a variety of ladies with money in your hand. Just in case, you understand. Wear a mask.
Never trust a hippy.
This is a huge opportunity for Luton boss Nathan Jones to sound absolutely ridiculous again and bemoan about referees, missed opportunity, and his stupid accent.
Nick Owen said he was a Luton fan, then he said this "However, I have a significant number of other commitments, with both my primary employer, the BBC, and other organisations. All of these demand long travel and unpredictable schedules and consequently I feel that I am unable to dedicate the time and effort that I feel the role now deserves."
Seriously though, this could easily be a defining game for Russell Martin, the swans have lost only once in the previous seven meetings. Luton draw a lot of games, expect a 1-1 draw. In the last meeting the swans lived life dangerously but won 1-0 at Kenilworth Road.

People defending and people having a pop at Martin should have learned a lot today... Think both sides of the argument over Martin have proven and been proven to be wrong today.
But
The second half, we need to take that buzz on into the next game. We were never going to challenge for promotion and realistically are at best a mid table to top 10 team with all things going well... We are not a million miles off that in points and we all need to take today on board and use it to pysh on.
Fair points but lets not start running away with ourselves yet. We won the second half but only because of a change in formation and change in tactics we became far more direct looking to get the ball forwards more and less obsessed with just passing it about which is what we did also at Bristol when we won.
also second half Luton pressed us less and sat off us....the acid test for me comes against Huddersfield the Cup game is a distraction as the league is where it counts though a cup run is nice at the moment we need to sort out our formation and tactics.....lets see how we start against Huddersfield and Ill be more interested in formation and tactics than perhaps individual player selection Nicthiam is obviously not yet ready for 90 but we need to start with 2 up top and a no 10.
good recovery today another indication though that Martins plan A may not be the "winning formula" but "plan A" revised seems to work.
Piroe is something special. We have to work to get both him and Obafemi in the same side.

Tend to agree, with the players we have 3 5 2 looks a better bet than 433 as we dont have quality wide attackers, Laird does pose a threat but on the left we don't create much so far this season.

I 'll stop you after positive. You dropped your guard. Clearly any questions are met with derision.
Derision - If you don't want to see derision mate, don't pop next door or pay heed to Big bad Jamie's vitriol (we managed to salvage a point today so he's making an appearance).
How this (and other similar stuff is still allowed is bonkers).

I have to say I noticed his movement in the Southampton (?) friendly - I thought he was a cut above then. We might just have the best technically gifted goalscorer in the league. Give him the ball he’ll put it away.
I’d be surprised if he needed resting just after an international break. I hope he can play at Brighton and against Huddersfield from the off with Obafemi. If either tire bring on the likes of Paterson then.

Surely if he carries on at this rate he is going to be a 20+ goal striker. I have high hopes for him.

Five goals by mid-September in a team that hasn't been creating an awful lot. 20 goals has to be the expectation now.

I don’t think anyone is. Martin screwed up with his starting line up but got it right at half time. I just hope he can see that quick Laudrup style football reaps dividends over a slower possession based game.
And if anyone is under the illusion that this was a Cooper styled performance then I suggest you pop into specsavers
