Goss and other fringe players 13:37 - Aug 12 with 11456 viewssuperhoopdownunder

Is it too late for them to go out on loan (or give them away?)

Cheers

League 1 and 2 Window is open until the beginning of September I believe so they can still head down divisions, which lets face is is where the likes of Goss are going to end up.

Poll: Moses Odubajo - Stick or Twist?

Am surprised Goss not released. Obviously not good enough or wrong attitude. 23 years old and barely played a game.

Would think the following should all be heading out before the deadline:

Goss
Kakay
Hamalainen
Owens
Oteh
Walker

Maybe hoping another Scottish team will pay some of his costs, as their window is open .until beginning of September

If we can't loan them out they will have to be sold off for medical experiments.

That's given me a legitimate chortle.

Goss would probably be grateful. If he gets to play for a club it will stop people saying 'Bollocks!' when he tells them he's a footballer.

'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

Didn’t I see somewhere that Goss has refused to countenance a move to a League One club???

If so then that’s a disgrace.
I’d say Goss will disappear out of the game (not hard for him granted) and he’ll do so as a very wealthy young man.
Would’ve thought maybe a chance at Salford would appeal but maybe of course they don’t want him. The fact the transfer hasn’t worked out is a shame but it happens, just frighteningly regular to us. The perceived lack of ambition by Goss to prove himself is really disappointing to me

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

I cant disagree with any of that. First time I saw him at Harlington in his top of the range car with personal plates I thought 'what an arse'.He epitomises the too much too soon syndrome that seems to be prevalent in modern football.Came through a huge premier league academy set up, has all the trappings that a non league footballer can only dream of but will probably end his career having played 200 games in about 15 years.

I'd add Charlie Rowan to that list. Should get about £50 for the lot of them.

He'll have to go some to get to 200 Smeg, five years into his career he's managed 19 senior starts.

I was being nice. It will probably total the two digits on his number plate.

Goss is an odd one, on the rare occasions he did play he looked decent

No but that was one of those games where he was thrown in from nowhere, was a bit harsh to judge him on that. He's never really had a run or playing 4/5 games in a row, i don't think he's even been given 2 games in a row

I imagine there is a real issue behind the scenes with him as 3 managers haven't given him a chance now and he's done very little in the loan spells but i find it all a bit odd

He didn’t get much game time because all three managers thought he is pony....

Scooters, Tunes, Trainers and QPR.

Goss will sit out his contract then think he can just walk into another team. He should take what he can whilst he has the chance.

Genuinely, I really can't see how we can be so hostile to him.

He's played about 200 minutes total for us and as someone else said he didn't do that badly (Brentford aside).

Not saying he should start either, as this midfield looks great so far but no need for the Karl Henry treatment IMO!

It’s not so much whether he’s crap just where is he?

I don’t understand how a contracted player can seemingly disappear completely off the radar. Might be better if the club explained what’s going on with him, maybe he’s not up to it, maybe other issues, but whatever it is at present he’s just becoming a laughing stock amongst supporters.

Karl Henry may not have had Goss's passing ability but he put a shift in, always showing for the ball and giving 100%. Far better professional than Goss.

I don't know how we could possibly know that from 6 appearances. I don't remember him being particularly bad.

Ok Baz.

As has been mentioned on here since he arrived, big club academy player, used to playing on billiard tables, in nice tippy tappy non competitive games with kids.

Plays in championship, good when not closed down, doesn't know whether it's New York or New Year when he is.

What to do, go on loan to lower league and toughen up. Allegedly, turns down loan to Yeovil as probably thinks, beneath him. Accepts loan to Glasgow, big club, goes well first game spraying ball around then 'take some of that you sassenach softie' and vanishes to occasional bit part player. Takes another loan to Scotland with mediocre performances.

Three managers can't find a way to include him, plus two in Scotland struggle, doesn't go on this season's Austrian trip. What I we supposed to conclude?
