How do we get a fee when the window has closed? I understand he can move country, where their windows are still open or he can be released and join someone as a free agent, but not how we can get a fee for a domestic transfer.

Goss and other fringe players on 16:42 - Aug 16 with 735 views | francisbowles | Pure speculation but with some logic. I expect the undisclosed fee is our payment to them. Whatever we were paying him, I would assume that Shrewsbury will be paying him less. Therefore in order to persuade him to leave a year early, we may have had to make a contribution. It still makes sense as we are saving on part of his wages for a year. Perhaps we have inserted some clauses on future payments, if he is sold on or hits targets, which may pay back a little of what he has cost over the last two and a bit years.
