FWIW it feels to me that we are finally in the latter stages of the Siggy deal & are moving on to looking at spending - would we be bold enough to go for Bony, Chadli & Allen for a combined £12M + £25M + £23M = £60M vs circa £45M in from Siggy, with what we've done already that would be around the £12/13M spent.
Still leaves us light at RB & CB mind - unless we can raise a few more £££s on Ki & Montero. |  | |  |

It's pretty clear that Clement is happy with Naughton as first choice RB. Would Jenkinson want to come here and sit on the bench?

To be clear, I hope we keep Siggy. I'd rather have him than anyone we could bring in.
But, if he does leave, your scenario is an awfully appealing one.
Throw in a quality winger or RB (I'd like both, but beggars can't be choosers) and I'm fully on board.

So we could have signed Joe for £8m to £10 m last season but didn't and we are now linked to him for £ 20m this season, somebody somewhere is royally taking the p155 !
I love Joe Allen but if we sign him now it will prove the club is a fookin' shambles and heading straight for the knackers yard, ditto Chadli, i suspect this is another smoke and mirrors ploy to give the fans something to talk about. |  | | |
